    That spot really impresses me, you have pulled some nice gold from there!

      It’s very consistent, but you have to move a lot of material to get good results. Thanks!

    Oh to have found that last .02 grams! Nice haul. Much better than the specs I find in the AZ washes and surrounding hills. I’m getting more gold now that I purchased the pigliet and experimenting with and without the extension. In AZ we have to bring our water with us and recirculate. The piglet is a great machine. I can run a 5g bucket in a few minutes but it takes 30m or so to harvest it!

    5 grams in I believe you said 2 hours worth of work totaling. Maybe 3 with cleaning Mats and such. A gram goes for $55 right now, wow that’s more than most people bring home in an hour. And you pulled that from the dirt. I’ve know about gold mining 2-3 years now, but recently went into depth and research on my own, even bought my GPAA membership cause I’m that into it lol. But point is, if you can get results like this in good ground, (I know there’s an insane amount of more to it than just shoveling) then I definitely am making the right moves by trying to make a career out of this. Being 26, and not invested into other trades as much as most people are by now, I’d be very, very happy filling my head up with gold mining knowledge and experience. Your video gives me the confidence to make me feel like it’s not a bad choice, but a good long-life term goal, along with other miners I’ve talked to. Thank you!
    PS sorry for the wall of text but it’s just something I’m really invested in. More than anything I feel like I ever have been

      The key is good ground. This is a very good spot, but there’s not much ground there left to work. I’m in NorCal and I can get a gram a day easily, but finding spots like this one is tough. To do this full time would take a lot more, but I do know a couple of guys who run legit small scale operations and do pretty well.

      @@libertymining5728 Yea good ground is key for sure. My concern is from what I heard, over 90% of surface gold has been mined already. I’m sure that other 10% is still a decent amount of gold, but that’s my hesitation. I plan on buying the mini piglet highbanker with the extension and clay claw in less than a couple weeks to get my foot in the door and gain the experience. I’m trying to plan an extended trip, maybe 1-2 months of going around the US mining and prospecting and overall learning while tryna build a lifestyle around it all. I would like to start a small scale operation after I’ve put in around 5 years (assuming I’m profitable and doing amazing) and grow from there. I’ve been told not to quit my day job. However I’m not employed at the moment and have money coming in bi weekly regardless. So I figure now would be the perfect time for me to leave Texas, get out there, meet great people and try to start the journey on what I want to do the rest of my life! Maybe It’ll take me underground into hard rock mining one day lol but that YEARS AND YEARS Into the future . With all that being said, would you have any advice for someone who’s starting from the bottom and trying to move up to an operation long term?

    You need a hydro nozzle and convert it to a “ dredge” combo.

    Great video and nice gold too!
    I'm thinking of getting the Gold Hog Piglet myself as classifying takes way to much time. I already have the Gold Hog river sluice and love the way the mats work. Just curious what water pump you're using. I was planning on a Honda WX-10 but not sure what to get yet. The WX-15 looks a bit more powerful. Any suggestions?

    • @libertymining5728
      @libertymining5728  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think the wx-15 is perfect for this high banker. I usually run my pump around 60%. The wx-10 would work, but I think you would have to run it full throttle.
