Just a tip from someone in the goldmining industry, if you throttle back any ball valve, it will fail. It may last a while but ball valves are for open or closed. Even the brass and stainless ball valves will disintegrate in a few weeks. Otherwise it looks awesome@
Here's another reply, also from a long time miner. I have found that the usable life of a ball valve is singularly dependent on use and abuse. The scale of mining that this backpack highbanker uses will go years without troubles. Using the engine RPMs to provide rough GPH and fine tuning with a ball valve is certainly A-OK. Now, put a full blown operation through that 1" or 2" valve and problems could develop in a relatively short time. I have been using ball valves (and engine RPMs) for 25 years without the first failure. I just wish I had them to use back in the mid 60s when I started out.
Another superior product from GOLD HOG! We appreciate you and your company for continuing to come out with quality products that help us to work smarter not harder! Was able to get 3 of your other pieces of equipment before going on SS. Keep up the good work!
Hey Jeff! I just wanted to say thanks for getting me into prospecting years ago and teaching me the basics through your channel. You and slim are the best possible faces for our community. Keep doing what you do! Also, please do some events in california or nevada! One of my favorite all-time videos was the one in the dry creek that you made a recirc-pond out of. That looked so fun! And there was plenty of gold!
Amazing!!!! Just bought the Flow Pan and am checking out all your other product videos. Very impressed with these high quality gold prospecting products. Great job!
I'm heading out for my second season in the goldfields of Western Australia for some detecting and i would love to try this sluice on a recirculating water source as water is hard to come by in the outback but i have GPS marked what looked like ancient river beds during my remote explorations. I could carry this on a ATV with about 50 litres of water and really go for some remote gold :)
Sweet set up. Still working out my single Hog sluice. I picked a hobby That you have to work at. But loving it. Thanks for all the pointers saves my back and time.
He has a video on here that is titled Pump choices for the Raptor flare... But the reason why he doesn't like to use them is because they don't have any PSI.. He also has a separate video about the mini and he has it running with a 3700 GPH pump.
The only problem I can see is if you got your sluice on your back your pump in your hand in your other hand your battery then how in the world are you supposed to carry out all the gold you get.
I'm still trying to figure out which one I will buy. The Super Gold Hog or the Piglet. But come March 2020 I'll have one or the other. Those super fine gold recoveries can add a lot of $$$ well worth the price of the unit.
So awesome! Ive bin looking at the piglet for a wile now and want one sooo bad. Was watching the videos about it again today. Now you did exactly what i need it to be. Thank you! I cant wait to put my order in. Hope them mats can catch this small Alberta gold. 😃👍🏼
This is exactly what I need, along with a place to use it! LOL! Thanks for the demonstration I loved it and if I ever move out of Florida I'm definitely getting one, or maybe I'll just go ahead and get one and go on more vacations up North!
Thanks for your TH-cam videos. I like the information you give. I don't use your mat , as it's out of my price range here in Australia due to shipping and our dollar is low.
Y'all should make a Highbanker Crashbox for the Stream Sluice.. I would sure buy one if you did.. I have the Power Pig Header for it.. I also made me a Crashbox for it, but I would like it better if you made it... The one that I made is ok.. I even made a Reverse Ramp Riffle and I added an extra 20 inches to it at the Crashbox side so it breaks down easy.. it's on one of Au79's videos. But I didn't bring all of my pumps that I use for it, so I didn't have enough water flow.
Wow, no comments yet? Well...Hey Doc, how you going? Looking well. The Piglet Flare looks pretty good. Been a while since you guys uploaded a vid of you out in the field. Your knowledge that you shared Doc is greatly appreciated. Have a good one. :) Edit: Your a damn good panner Doc.
Yes only need to run on idle the pump is too strong we're going to be converting ours into a suction dredge as well that jumps into the piglet when we bought ours that was the first pump we bought
Pretty cool I would love to have one .I just got in to looking for gold. Only thing I have is a pan. I live in pa. But I don't think I found anything good let.im sure that would help me a lot
Hi.Doc.Why do you put a piece off minores moss ahead of your mats?I swear by your matts and do not like moss. The mats will catch all of the gold.maybe alittle further down but moss is going against what you have desighned..Just my opinion,Luck ,Mcbain.
ooh man, i would really really like to have one of these please. I know of a honey hole and don't have any of sluice equipment to capture . just a pan and a shovel. =P have nice day sir.

You always seem to amaze me Doc... That is one tough looking Mini
Went to website and didn't see flare and extension for piglet. Only for raptor
This look like a great option for some of the harder to reach areas, and still getting things done!
That highbanker looks amazing
Looks like it would be so much fun out in the field
This product looks amazing. Thanks for the demo, Doc!
You surprise me with each new product. Keep it up
That's one wicked sluice!!!! You guys are geniuses! I can only wish for something that good. Great work guys :)
Doc, Why don't you use a battery powered pump instead of the gasoline pump on a test?.
He has a video on here that is titled Pump choices for the Raptor flare... But the reason why he doesn't like to use them is because they don't have any PSI.. He also has a separate video about the mini and he has it running with a 3700 GPH pump.
This is perfect for alaska remote set up, my son and I hike quite a distance which is over 80 miles north of Alaska.
what is north of alaska? LOL

Might try and save for one, looks perfect for our creeks
We are saving for one of these. Cannot wait!
Great new product, cant wait for the field video
Is there a reason why the hardware on the piglet flare doesn't have the spray damper cut in the pvc?
Awesome video!
Impressive idea Doc! Way to go!
Doc, how about a video with the extension and the flare??

The only problem I can see is if you got your sluice on your back your pump in your hand in your other hand your battery then how in the world are you supposed to carry out all the gold you get.
Just what I have been looking for. Easy to use and carry.
Would love to have one. Love the madding
I'm still trying to figure out which one I will buy. The Super Gold Hog or the Piglet. But come March 2020 I'll have one or the other. Those super fine gold recoveries can add a lot of $$$ well worth the price of the unit.
You need to put out more videos of running i enjoy watching gold it would be good for more recent videos
So awesome! Ive bin looking at the piglet for a wile now and want one sooo bad. Was watching the videos about it again today. Now you did exactly what i need it to be. Thank you! I cant wait to put my order in. Hope them mats can catch this small Alberta gold. 😃👍🏼

Well just wanted to say i think its brilliant.
Hey Gold Hog. How well do your machines run when setup as a recirculating system? Does a thick slurry effect fine gold recovery much?
Yes only need to run on idle the pump is too strong we're going to be converting ours into a suction dredge as well that jumps into the piglet when we bought ours that was the first pump we bought
Thanks Doc, enjoyed the video.... as always..
well, yes I like it, but maybe its just me but it looks like the pump was running a bit to fast?..
How much gold to 1 day?
Great video, hope to have some luck to start with ;)
Pretty cool
I want one, let me test one out in some savage Oregon ore Fine and coarse gold.
Happy Hall🎃ween 🎧🔊🔊🔊

We only put moss in the fluid bed / flood chamber to diffuse the HIGH velocity water dumping in. If we didn't that area would blow out.
Awesome
I want one
ooh man, i would really really like to have one of these please. I know of a honey hole and don't have any of sluice equipment to capture . just a pan and a shovel. =P have nice day sir.
