    Beautiful job you did on your bike. I'm trying to get my 91 NT650 going and I need a better than stock exhaust I like the choice you made on your exhaust.

    Hi Love your bike, I have a NTV 600 here in the UK and have just finished mine. What I love what you have done is opened up the rear wheel. So many exhausts for these Honda's cover up the wheel so you can't see the beauty of a single sided swing arm.
    When you fitted your new exhaust did you have to rejet the carbs. I have a lot of pops and bangs on deceleration.
    I really like the rear sets, are these something you made, are they from a specific model of bike.
    Awesome work and I doff my cap to you sir and thanks for sharing.
    👏👏👏👏👏👏
    If I upload a video of mine can I add a link. Mine is a bit more ratty and have tried to make it look older. Its my 1st ever project. I even purchased a lathe to make up some bits for my headlights brackets.

      I did not have to do jetting, but I had my motor built at the same time. It's 700cc's now. It could have been jetted at that time. I'm sure they aren't stock Jets, but I'm not sure offhand what size they are. There's an air cutoff valve iirc that could cause popping on decel. Check those.

      @@rollcage9710 I had forgot about the air cut off valves, I will inspect those when I take the carbs out early next year.
      Thanks

      @@rollcage9710 Hi, I don't have a full walk around video yet of the finished bike. I finished the back end off in February this year and then as a result of being shut down till the end of July I thought I may as well do the front end during lock down. ( I already had the front end from a Suzuki TL1000.
      This is the only picture I have of the bike completed at the moment. I tried to show the transition. I will come back and put a link here when I am back out on the bike.
      Are you rear sets also from Tyga. I had a look on their site and saw them. They do look good.

      Ps I made the seat myself as I had no alternative from lockdown. I am taking it to a company in February to have it done professionally.

    That's an awesome Hawk! Great work.
    I'm about to build an engine for mine and have thought about using the same exhaust setup. Is it too loud?

    Awesome. wanted to get that for my 88 hawk. How do you deal with the vibration with those footpegs? And you had JD bore and build yours to 700? How much? Was it worth it? output a lot more I'm assuming. Oh also, awesome color choice.

  • @rollcage9710

    Thanks! The exhaust is easy as pie. 2-1 collector and a tyga maggot. It made 5ft/lbs more torque then a two bros. full exhaust. Are you on the hawk forum?

    What RAL was it? Have a tempest gray one but your colour fit perfect on her. Thanks

    • @rollcage9710
      @rollcage9710  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If I understand you correctly I think you're asking what color the paint is? It's a Toyota/Lexus color called desert sage metallic.

      @@rollcage9710 Many thanks for the answer. Yes I was wondering what was the int. RAL colour equivalent, but many thanks for telling me wich was. Looks satin or it's gloss? Just painted my car on 7046 gloss (Telegray 2) and may be will paint Hawk soon. Are you still making miles to her? Are you member of hawkgtforum? It's a pitty I lost many How-to and mods of it due to a hard drive loss. Precious restored btw

      @@papaya_virus I haven't been active on the forum in ages. I still have the bike, but I don't ride it much anymore. It's waiting for me to build it again and change it all up. My daughter thinks she'll get to ride it once she's old enough. I'm not so sure about that.

      @@rollcage9710 Cheer up your daughter :) Proud of you family if she really wanna learn to ride with you and kidnapping your bike hehe! I will check forum more often (ufo_shapes). Still have the CBR900 fireblade shock for mount hawk spring, VFR rear and a plasma kit for mount :/ Wanna look for christmas a good and cheap front fork replacement (like gsx or cbr f3-f4)

    where'd you get that seat

    • @rollcage9710
      @rollcage9710  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      cesar sura I made it. It was really simple though. I bought a 916 biposto seat and pulled the cover off of it. Then cut about an inch off of the widest part of each side. Then I used spray adhesive and a staple gun and recovered it. I put high bond Velcro on the seat pan and tail section and that's it.

    • @tazmaniam3
      @tazmaniam3 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      sounds easy. how about the hump and the rims?

    • @rollcage9710
      @rollcage9710  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      cesar sura the tail section I bought from a member of the hawk GT forum. It's a motoforza clone. The rear wheel is a VFR and the front suspension/front wheel is a 2011 cbr600rr.
