My friend and I went on a roadtrip last weekend and all of a sudden she pulls out a disposal camera and flashes it at me and honestly forgot how pure and candid those moments can be. Have yet to see the photo though😅

I went to Italy 3 years ago and filled up 4 Kodak disposable cameras and have YET to get them developed- so excited to see what’s behind those films one day!
If you don’t get them developed soon you might not be able to do that at all. That’s for 2 reasons: 1 - the film degrades and by the time you go to print them there’s pretty much nothing left on the roll. 2 -many placed are no longer developing pictures for disposable cameras so you literally won’t have a way to get your pictures. If you want the surprise have someone else pick them up or ask the clerk not to go over them with you and just ask them if the pictures look decent enough.
Watching the video, your pictures look like the ones which kids show their friends and they say that's my grandmother and she just looks ethereal, ya know?

Anyone else remember family vacations with a million disposal cameras. And by the end you’re searching through them trying to see which ones have any space left to take photos 😂😂
I do remember those vacations and it was so much fun afterwards searching for those good pictures! Later you would realize that half of them had your finger on some part of the photo and it kinda ruined that special moment!

Even though it's a no editing challenge, you could definitely brighten up the darker ones digitally! I do that sometimes with my disposables, it keeps that grainy/authentic feel but makes it a little easier to see💕
yeah, i hope there's a way to "save" those ones, especially the ones with Bruiser. SO cute.
I LOVE that 3rd, darker photo from Camera B on the second photo shoot. So moody, it reminds me of Tumblr in the early 2010’s which is 100% a compliment!
All I can think of is Chandler and Ross taking random photos, trying to recreate some wedding photos because the disposable cameras got ‘lost’. 😂😂
Yay! I’m so excited for this video. I used to always bring a little disposable camera with me to summer camp when I was a kid. The best feeling in the world was getting those pictures back once they were developed. This is making me relive that. :)

I'm a photographer, and got my start with film, a lot has changed in photography in the past 20 years
Yeah, I can relate. I studied dark room photography in high school/university and a lot has changed. I really miss the studio days where I could just go to the dark room and develop photos.
The underlit photos are so nostalgic to me. I remember getting back a set of photos and have of them being too dark hehe.
Half the fun of photography used to be the excitement of getting the printed pics and seeing what you had captured. Fun video!
You should recreate this when baby is hear and take photos of her with a disposable camera.

So happy to see this! Film is trendy right now but it is truly an art form and I hope people keep with it! My husband is a film photographer! He shoots, developes, and makes legitimate prints all in our bathroom lmao. Just happy to see the appreciation film deserves!
I love the last set of camera A, so beautiful! I remember that disappointment of a picture you were excited about not turning out 😅. Dropping off film or a camera and picking up the pictures was so exciting.
I think some of the issues with disposable cameras is that they sit on shelves/inventory for a while so the film inside degrades. I still like the idea of leaving cameras on tables as weddings but definitely not shooting my whole vacation on disposable cameras like I did growing up (probably because my parents didn't want me breaking or losing the real camera!)

I wonder if the exposure to the studio lights in the third photo was so strong that it messed with the remainder of the film and that’s why the fourth photos are so dark? It looked like you had similar lighting in your foyer area to what you had in the kitchen!
hmm, good theory. The kitchen actually seemed almost darker than the stairs so that might explain it!
I'm commenting again, because I just finished the video. I'm seriously sad the blue dress shoot was over exposed. You should redo it with another disposable camera challenge. I think you did pretty amazing, honestly, for what you were working with. Btw.. I am a film photographer by trade so I was just so happy for this challenge. 😁❤️

I haven't used a disposable camera in probably 14+ years and they definitely did not look that good back in the day 😂 the cameras look the same but the quality has gotten so much better!
Omg my grandma uses those cameras haha! Even though we bought her an iPhone 11 🤦🏽♀️
It makes total sense though. Disposables are point and shoot and you can turn on flash on some models. With her phone, she has to find the icon, open it up, make sure it doesn’t accidentally change to video, slowmo or something else, if her phone is one of the larger plus models, they’re also harder to hold onto, you run out of battery much sooner, phones calls, texts and alerts can make it difficult to get in the groove of picture taking and the most important is that everyone will criticize the way she takes photos on her phone but no one can see the disposable camera ones so much less criticism. Taking photos should be fun. If she’s enjoying taking pics with a disposable camera, then that’s what should matter. You can always take the pictures yourself if you want a particular look.

I just wanted to say that I took great inspiration from this video. I'm 24 years old and I'm currently 26 weeks pregnant with my fourth baby and, to say the least, I haven't necessarily felt very "beautiful" lately, let alone "sexy"... But this morning I did my hair, got dressed up and recreated my own version of your morning coffee photo. I LOVE it and I haven't felt that pretty in such a long time. I love how inspiring you are, Sierra 💕 you truly make me look at myself and my body in a different, more loving, light. 💕

I adore my old polaroid camera. It really makes me appreciate and think about each shot more. And then the excitement when you are waiting for the shot to develop.

I absolutely loved photo number 1 from the last photo shoot. The bodycon dress baby bump was sooo cute and it looked like a vintage picture. Like you could tell it was from an old camera. I loved it. ♥️
As someone who's worked in a film lab, it really depends on the person developing the pictures, because they can adjust the brightness, as well as colour. They still looked great 😊
In the 80s, my JH best bud and I were always doing "photo shoots" of each other! 🤣 Then we'd ride our bikes down to the local Walgreens-type place and turn in our film in for developing. And OF COURSE we'd always get doubles so we could both have copies! It was such a rush to go pick them up a week later and see what we got. Still have development of those pix this to this day and I love 'em! Not gonna lie--most of our fashion choices from back then are cool now! Cropped tops and high waisted jeans fer sher! I thought your pic in the kitchen with your baby bump was the cutest!!! Definitely wish I'd taken more photos when I was pregnant with my kids. That was in the mid to late 90s and we just weren't celebrating the shape of a woman's pregnant body the way we do today. It was more concealed. You'll be so glad you've got all these photos. And your daughter will treasure them too!!!
You have to keep these for baby girl when she's in her 20's. That will be so special. My mom left when I was super little so I never got to do it with her, but whenever my dad shows us old photos he gets so excited! Especially the ones in the kitchen, they totally look like they could have been from the 90's. 😂💜
Love, love disposable cameras. I've been using them for personal photos lately. I love getting the prints, it's the best part. Just remember to keep your finger out of the lense, lol. I used to always end up with so many pictures of my finger in the lense.
I personally love using disposable cameras. There is something so special about not being able to filter edit or distort the image. It’s this special moment in time that is natural and real With an unpredictable outcome. Besides who doesn’t love a good roll of photo albums on the bookshelf.
Flashbacks to all the pictures my friends and I took in High School in the 90s. So many disposable cameras for trips and borrowing our parents' film cameras for parties and activities. There were always photos that looked great, but also always a few photos that didn't turn out. And absolutely at least two with someone's thumb in the shot. Plus the blinding flash, redeye in the developed film, and an abundance of light in the worst possible way.
But, the memories are wonderful and I love to look back at the pictures!
Those photos are stunning!! My favourite it I had to pick was in the kitchen with coffee. Dunno why it felt nostalgic to me kinda 80’s 😍😍😍 but I think they were all beautiful 🖤
The flash reminds me of the indoor photos from my childhood. We must have used flash indoors. I wish you would have done digital pictures also to compare which you liked best.
Wow the first flash photo in the kitchen!!! I'm sold on trying to do this with my friends at a hens I have next weekend (covid safe and in aus!) because that was stunning and so raw. Such a good message behind this too, love how they al turned out!

I love this photo challenge idea so much!!! I want to do it with my friends now so badly! I actually took photos with a disposable camera at the park last summer but haven't gotten them developed yet :)
These pictures take me back to the box of photos I have from 1989-beginning 2000s, I think the flash adds character, it’s how most of the photos from the ‘90s looked lol these cameras met my expectations, and all the photos were perfect IMO
I think my favorite is the one with Stephen's finger peeking into the frame. That screams retro disposable candid camera shot for me lol. Most of my childhood polaroids have similar finger cameos in them 😂

You're so photogenic! I remember using these types of cameras. We even had them at our wedding at the tables. I actually miss "living in the moment" and not knowing whether a photo was going to turn out until a week later! I should try picking up one of these babies and snapping away.
Do the blue shot again, but do it outdoors or in front of a French style door. It was such a beautiful idea for such a beautiful person.

Film photos are some of my favorite things to work with. If you get a film camera that isn’t disposable it will have a light meter which shows if you need more or less light for the photo.

You should redo the blue dress photo shoot! You looked so adorable and I loved the flowers 💙 Also, you could try taking a photo of the photos without the best lighting and then edit them in a photo app. I’ve done this for throwback photos on Instagram and it’s not perfect but you can make improvements!
