Which is your best tip for the driving assists in F1 22? 🤔

      Practice, practice, practice.

And using flashback during practice sessions to get braking points, turn in points, and acceleration down.

For manual driving, I like to count how many down shifts I do, which allows me yo know what gear I'm in

seems like to me F1 drivers rely solely on that in game racing line i see time and time again in r/simracingstewards i would just leave it off

I do corners only but that is because it is my first f1 game, I’ve been playing for 2 months and for me it’s been very fun

I always use the racing line but the more I play the track, the more I „go away“ from the racing line

And sort of make my own racing line

I noticed with the braking assist on it can also stop you doing overtakes if the car ahead breaks really early before a corner where it maybe safe to overtake.

One thing you forgot to mention and that is probably because it isn't really a driving assist but it can help you be quicker is having the correct set up for your car

I like to run no assists so I can spin easier on corner exit

With ABS it takes you "a lot longer to slow down" what in the world are you on about?

Treshold braking can be faster than with ABS, however due to the shite FFB in the F1 games and the lack of grip/overly sensitive brake pedal really makes no assist braking overly hard in them.
It's easier to drive all assist off in Pcars2, AMS2, Assetto Corsa, etc. Than in the Codies F1 games.

      @@LupusAries That is just nonsense.

Unfortunatly abs is a “cheat code” imo. No way that abs off is faster.

Glad I'm not the only one who heard this and got confused. I expect that if it's true, then ABS is programmed poorly or is deliberately designed to be slower than it would actually be in real life.

@@LupusAries There is no way in ACC you can drive without assists. Absolutely no. The GT cars are designed with ABS and TC on. Not running on the max setting, but at least a few ticks. You ain't driving fast in ACC without TC and ABS on.

My advice to everyone is that you'd have more fun with all assists turned off including ABS and Traction control. Simply reduce the AI difficulty.
I started playing this way from f1 2018 with Ai difficulty set to 30%, and worked my way up from there.
Although for complete newbies I'd say perhaps just have traction assist set to medium or whatever and then slowly then it off. Trick is to slowly and gradually increase pressure on the throttle in F1 2022 if you don't wanna spin.
