I use the racing line, but i ignore it sort of, always, sometimes. Basically on some corners the braking zone is right, other places i know i can get better braking later and others i know it would be better to brake early and get a better exit. I use the line as a marker for myself, i dont actually do what it tells me
Yeah same, using the red bars as a marker rather than some random tree or tyre mark on the ground is way easier to learn for a casual player such as myself
What i absolutely recommend when struggling with traction is to consciously shift your focus on going extremely easy on the gas pedal when exciting out of a corner. That way you will soon have some sense of accomplishment and a good feel for what the limits are.
I dunno. Spent 3 or 4 hours learning Austria without the racing line and topped out in the 1.10s. Turned on the racing line and within two laps I was in the 1.06s
Its funny cause I raced Karts and motocross growing up. But in the last few years the games have gotten tough if SIMS. And I just go one controller. And down in Columbia my friends would be like,,,, "you should know how to do this" and im like. I'm not buying a wheel 1, and one toothpicks its a tad different then being on or in the actual thing. So yea a "guess I was pretty good growing up." real can be bad on sticks lol.
I have everything turned off except racing line since I’m kinda slow on where the racing line is even though I basically ignore it sometimes and make my own and I use automatic transmission but that’ll be turned off since I can handle the car without TC/ABS.
