Welcome to malaysia truely asia..enjoy your stay here..those who cannot or barely speaks english are not local malaysian..there are migrant workers from neighbouring countries who works here..malaysian are fluent in english and you should have no problem communicating with the local malaysian..Cheers from Borneo Sabah East Malaysia..The Land Below the wind..🫶
Yes...please do since these people are not even Malaysians. Report them to the Tourist Police. Most staff who man the shops are also not Malaysians, but they can speak Malay more than English. It's Ringgit.....not Regal.
Those photographers are non- Malaysians, because it is illegal to operate business without license in Malaysia. 😊Some tourist locations in Malaysia have legal photographers, where they will display tags or wearing uniform. They do not collect money, but payment is paid at designated counter.🫡🫡
Welcome to Malaysia sis. Enjoy your stay here. I hope KLCC park management will take an action against photorgrapher who overcharging their customer which is bad for KLCC image and the country. They can do business there with permission from KLCC park management. I believe you can go to information counter at KLCC shopping center nearby and submit a complaint. We are one of the safest country but just be aware with your surrounding. We Malaysian 90% of us can speak or understand basic english and we also have many immigrant workers too which sometime can't speak english only know basic Malay. If you stay long you can easyly differentiate them. Anyway enjoy. I have 2 kenyan intern and work almost 3 years at my workplace KL before but already move to Penang Island(North Malaysia) and work there.
I went to Kl Malaysia in April and every I went people spoke some or fluent English. It didn’t even felt that I was in Asia and I’m from Canada.I didn’t get rip off at all and everything was written in English like sugar if you needed it
Sorry for all what happened also for highlighting all what happened to you in Malaysia, the best part is when you mentioned that Malaysian are very kind people ❤❤❤❤
Use public transport in Malaysia like ERL, MRT, LRT, Monorail or Grab. Malaysia is an English spoken people where tourist like you should not have problem interecting with local when visiting Malaysia.....
It's compulsory for all Malaysians to learn English at school from 7 to 17 years old at an average of 8 hours per week. Of course there are good students and there are bad students but most of us can understand English. Remember we have many foreign workers from Bangladesh, Myanmar,Nepal, Indonesia that are not proficient in English. Many tourists are not aware of this.
Compulsory but there are many that do not really study and are influenced by their religious and political leaders. I doubt the can converse in English apart from the basics.
Welcome to Malaysia. Vippi Mambo. I've had a lot of Kenyan friends in Malaysia before. Now they have already started working in the UK, and I am hoping to meet my Kenyan friend again here in Malaysia.
Hye Katrina, as a Malaysian, from bottom of my heart I'm sorry for the unpleasant experience. those street photographers are not malaysian.. a true Malaysian would have immediately treat u as his/her family & join in take selfies not taking money
As a foreigner in Malaysia you take years to understand the local custom, behavior, mindsets etc Even as a M'sian myself I find it difficult to understand them so what's more from a foreigner
You perhaps didnt aware million of immigrant in mlysia..esp in cities like KL. Indonesisns top the list. Mny of them.did every possible job to make money.. I think those photogrsphers who charged their clients tourists unreasonably.. luckily two weeks sgo authorities stop ilegal photographer bcoz they made chaotic n fighting smong themselves perhaps for clients..
The people who scam our guess had to be arrested...foregner scam they are just ruin our tourism industri and making shame to our culture in malaysia.. As malaysian please forgive us..
The authorities concerned please take immediate action to these immigrants with their uncalled act. This is malaysia not indonesia or phillipine. DBKL or immigration please wake up.
