I used to think my 4C hair was strange as it looked like hers. It is not wavy, coily, fine, or kinky, but it is as fluffy as hers. It feels good to know my hair is normal, lol!

i wish i could wear my natural 4c hair but my mom keeps calling me wild woman if i do wear it out and says you cant go out looking like this she keeps on denying i have 4c hair when its very clear i have 4c hair and if i do want to wear my "natural hair" she tries to change my hair type to 3A or 3B type of stuff my mom is such a self hating person she even permed her own hair for life

My hair will do this all except for the top, I have 3b/3c hair and the top of my head seems to be a little thinner than the rest. It’s always been like that, even after I went natural 3-4 years ago. It just doesn’t seem compact like the rest of my hair, so when I comb it out it doesn’t bush up like the rest of it, idk if it’s because I have a looser curl pattern in that spot or what but I really wish my hair would just cooperate.

Here it’s stretch with my hair steamer but the results are pretty similar when I do a regular blow out.

Beautiful afro. How do you soften and stretch your hair? Do you texlax/texturize, chemical relax, hot comb or iron press?
I stretch my hair with a handheld steamer (Q-redew) and the steam it gives off softens it as well. Hope this helps and thanks for watching :)
