I love my 24-105 it's my only lens right now for my s5ii. As a guy who loves doing it all, it's really the perfect lens. Having come from DSLR, the dual IS is practically miraculous.
The Pani 24-105 is a wonderful do-it-all lens. Is use it for video and it is great! The colors are well represented. It is sharp. And f4 is not a major issue with today’s mirrorless cameras like the S5ii.
Really enjoyed the video. I had just sold all my Sony gear, and got myself a nearly new S5 with the 20-60mm and 50mm lenses and a S1 with the 24-105mm lens,so I’m interested in what others think about the cameras and lenses I bought.
Pleased you enjoyed it 😊 It’s a great system - I don’t think there are any bad lenses as such (the 20-60 is definitely the best kit lens I’ve ever used). The 24-105 of course is a great all rounder
Not in my experience... Penny 24-105 is sharper and focuses way closer (which is kind of the point of the whole video!). Of course I may have had a bad copy of the Sony 24-105 (doubtful but possible) but there is no denying that the Sony doesn't come close for flower photography.

The Panny 24-105mm is really a versatile but under appreciated lens IMHO.
I totally agree. I much prefer it to the Sony equivalent. Tbh I use it for 90% of everything I photograph

By the way, what microphone are you currently using? Are using using the Panasonic XLR 1 mount?
Pleased you enjoyed it! I’m using a couple of Rode microphones - I have never used the XLR adaptor unfortunately.
I want to shoot closeups of food from a close distance is it good for that. What exactly is a macro lens i still dont get jt
Basically a macro lens will let you focus closer up so you can fill the frame more… yes it would work nicely for photographing food!
