It was a bit of a disappointment for me too. I was waiting for that because I've got for YT that last kiss before the battle shall be something special, I wasn't spoilering it for me and when the time came and my Tav dramatically ran to her beloced Spawn Astarion there was... just a cute normal kiss. I think I've even waited for Patch 6 back then thinking that maybe I've misunderstood something and the last kiss will be added. Nope, it wasn't 😅 So now I'm curious about Ascended last kiss.

@ I absolutely agree! ❤️ Ascended Astarion is such a softy still, he needs more affectionate kisses 💋 After watching Minthara’s kiss animations again here it is still baffling that they would give the BDSM-themed ones to ascended Astarion when they had her, a Drow, formerly Lothe sworn and in the past only recruitable on an evil run where you slaughter the grove, not to mention drow come from a culture where BDSM is normal, as well as she is a disgraced noble so the kneeling kiss makes sense for her. It's almost like the devs got the animation notes mixed up. Ah, that makes sense, Halsin and Karlach are quite big. I still find it funny Halsin is so big but his strength is only 10. 🐻

I think that it was like this: "what is Wyll doing in his romance scene? dancing? Then we'll make all the kisses with dancing for him. And ascended Astarion asks to kneel in the romance scene? Then we'll make all his kisses like that."
@ yeah, I agree the kisses for Wyll and Ascended Astarion are very superficial and I totally agree about the roleplaying part, not being able to give consent to whether you want the BDSM kisses from Ascended Astarion is a huge flaw. I can only hope they make changes to some of these things in the future, but since they said they want to move on to other projects I have little hope without sending them more petitions. I hope they make a definitive edition of the game or something 🙏🥰 Maybe they could bring back Halsin’s backstory, Wyll’s storyline and (my favourite) Daisy 🤞 along with a few other things from early access. Just wishful thinking ❤️
That kiss is what should happen after close calls. My Tav almost didn't make it back in time in the Iron Throne quest. Gale's Last Kiss 3 is what I wanted Astarion and Tav to share after that moment.

They literally gave Gale so many kisses because his sex scene is so flipping vanilla. And they gave Astarion so little kiss variations because of his intense sex scene(s). Plus his kiss scenes are pretty intense too. I would have loved to have seen more for him.
I really hope Larian fixes the lighting issues for some of the kissing animations. It's a bit weird how one character sometimes ends up shrouded in shadows in certain angles. Also makes taking cinematic shots with the photomode mod a hassle because it looks weird :(

How and why the heck does gale have so so so so many kisses those are a lot! Unfair! Give Astarion just as many different kisses too then, i kind of realise that while as Astarions story is very good and well written while as his romance isnt as as well written, I mean all his kisses has hidden angles not so good angles, spawn astarion doesnt have as much kisses he has 2 kisses only, The leg hitch is hidden, the kiss where he grabs your butt are hidden, when you romance him are togheter when the epilogue party happens you barely hang out with astarion at all, the hang out with him are very brief I know you are with him so there arent anything for him to share with you as he is always with you compared to the others but there gotta be some more interactions with astarion during the epilogue party like dancing, maybe give him a kiss, you do get to give him a hug and thats really nice tho. But Astarions dialogue as he is your boyfriend now should say something more about what he thinks of his life with you
