@Aryan Shah no , you have to simmer white butter (makkhan) to make ghee out of it, which is yellow/golden in colour. You can't eat oil with sugar, makhan is very creamy and white.
Chris, I really enjoyed this very entertaining episode, thank you for telling us the back story about Lord Krishna. The men in the sweet shop were very friendly, this was nice to see. I saw on UK TV its the Indian festival of Holi about now, would love to see you capture this too 😀
Chris, great to see you enjoying historical places of india along with food & culture. I would request you to visit the state of Assam. Thanks for the video.
Hi Chris, I hope you are enjoying the journey !!! just a quick tip, whenever you go to sweet shop, you can ask for single piece of sweet of each kind as 1 kilo or 1/2 kilo is too much for single person to eat and this will save your few bucks. Also you will taste different varieties if you could ask for single piece of each :) Also you can ask for 50 gram (in hindi- PACHAS GRAM) or 100 gram (in hindi - SO GRAM) of anything eatable like sweets or maakhan. It is enough for single person. FYI, 100 gram is 1/10th of 1 Kilo.
