Thanks for watching, everyone! Please drop us a like if you enjoyed the video, share if you feel so inclined, and feel free to let us know what you'd like to see on the channel in the future. We've got cameras, we've got games, we've got Japan, so the possibilities are practically endless.
We would like to preserve this wonderful culture as much as possible. Although the times have changed and we play more and more on home video game consoles, it is very exciting to actually play against each other in a game center. It is sad to see the number of game centers in Japan continue to decline. As one of the fighting gamers in Japan, I would like to continue going to game centers as long as I can.
I'm American living in Yokohama. As soon as I saw the first few seconds of the video, I knew exactly where this is at. I could take the Yokohama blue line to Bandobashi station and then walk a few minutes towards that bridge. I'll check this out too! Thanks!
It appears that arcade's are making an revival in the Netherlands (where i live) i already saw arcades in 2 city's. Nice to see this. In one city there was a Mortal Kombat cabinet
Hey Jim been trying to catch up on your videos from the last few months. Been working full time, working on a masters degree full time. Love these types of videos especially. The quality has increased dramatically and I just want to let you know that we appreciate and respect the work that goes into it. Also love that DEATH hoodie. Makes me wanna go watch that Death in Tokyo tour video from 9/9/1995 here on TH-cam.
Nice! Best of luck with that, bud. I myself gladly gave up after my BA lol. Thanks for continuing to watch and support the channel, been putting a lot of work into it. Just want it to be an entertaining channel. Anytime is a good time for old Death live footage. 👍
Really interesting to see the arcade scene in 2024. Cool that Asuka loaned out a cabinet. She is a very interesting person that seems to get up to a lot in her spare time.
I have played Yakuza like a Dragon and some of those views looked very familiar. Especially those parts near bridges and river. Great to see well taken care of Arcade Hall.
I do love these arcade tour videos! yeah I"m not super good at 3rd strike so it's always cool to see folks that know what they're doing. some great stuff on the second floor as well! love me some gradius, twinbee and some of that tetris: the grand master! also not super into WWE but I had seen a picture of one of asuka's cabs on location over on twitter, though I don't recall if it was that one specifically or not? but neat to see one on location like that.
I feel bad having grown up in Tokyo circa-2000. This is more like a lan party, the arcades back in the day had a grimey feeling to them but were professionally managed. Attendants would replace your ashtray. I had the eye of the local gang and they once filled my bike with trash and stole the lock key. My own fault, I didn't lock it. 😊
Very cool. I didn't know it at the time, but they do something similar here where you can pay a certain amount in advance if you just want to play all night.
That's a very wholesome scene and reminds of when me and my friends get together with our candy/woody cabinets. I've saw pictures of this place on IG and now I totally want to go there and 1cc Detana! Twinbee!
Honestly this is really really really cool! now days u only hear how arcades are shutting down one after another on Japan so hearing about NEW ones is great news! I seriously hope that cultures never dies over there despite of being kind of "dying" for the last decade, and as long there are small ones still open and kickin' the hobby will never fully die!
There this popular arcade place called Daikeien that not only show some newest arcade games, but other americans things in there. Do you have a plan to in there too?
I'd love to go. I've been in Japan for a month and I've seen nothing but pachinko and claw machines. What happened all the fighting game arcade machines?
When you edit your videos, please check the audio levels between talking and music. Cant hear the talking, so i turn up the volume, then the music comes in at like ten times the volume
One of my "if I became filthy rich" things used to be that I'd put up an arcade in Japan or Brazil, with cash prize tournaments revolving around the games I wanted to see (pre-MOTW Fatal Fury, Tekken 2&3, WHP, AoF3 and many many more). Basically, to control people away from the usual games with money, and have people to play against while they were practicing (I wouldn't be good enough for the tournament play). FightCade has very regional player bases for games that aren't Capcom or KoF'98.
@icGamingit took me way too long to search your ugly description lay out. It's full of ugly art that you expect me to appreciate. You could have just told me the name like I asked and avoided being a cryptic dumb ass. Your "Description" is full of garbage dude I don't want to see that shit again.
Do people realize constantly wearing mask will eventually compromise your respiratory system. What a beautiful culture the Japanese have, no one yelling, insulting, or cursing for no reason at all. Great gaming community

I agree... nothing beats an "in person" head to head fighting challenge! Nothing. I really hope that this trend continues !

I too am American living in Japan too! (near machida), definitely need to check this place out, i hope they play guilty gear x / xx over there!
such a wholesome fighting game community, thanks for sharing the local arcade
My pleasure. Thanks for watching!
Strange seeing "wholesome" and "fighting game community" together.
Love this stuff. You are my go to resource for arcade stuff in Japan. Thanks!
Much appreciated. We're planning to make a lot more arcade content this year.
Music to my ears! Cheers dude!

Apparently they alternate what game from her collection is at the arcade, so it's always something different.
Looks like a fun, chill place! Thanks for showing it off.

I have played Yakuza like a Dragon and some of those views looked very familiar. Especially those parts near bridges and river. Great to see well taken care of Arcade Hall.
I believe that arcade is opposite to the entrance of the underground weapon seller.
Rise of the Ronin should be fun to see old Yokohama, including the buildings that are still standing today

Street Fighter 3 is still one of my favorites. Even though I suck 😆😆😆
I'm in the same boat, I enjoy the game but I wouldn't be any kind of competition for these guys.
What matters is that you enjoy the game and enjoy yourself while playing it 💪🏻👍🏻
Third Strike baybeeeee!
Arcade place is open up??? Am I living in the 90s again???
Nope, it's just Yokohama.

10:42 - the owner just wanted to say goodbye :(
We said our goodbyes later. We went back inside after we finished filming.
I live in Yokohama and it's awesome to have a small arcade close to home.
Death hoodie! RIP Chuck S.
I recently found a pinball/ retro arcade museum in my town with 500 machines on free play. 22 bucks for all day pass. I'm in heaven
Very cool. I didn't know it at the time, but they do something similar here where you can pay a certain amount in advance if you just want to play all night.
Crazy they can still find working CRTs for all these machines
Always appreciate your arcade tours, Jim 😎
Glad you enjoyed the vid. Plenty more on the way, lots of arcades around here.
SICK! we need buildings like those here in the US 🕹🕹🎮🎮
I popped for the Asuka cabinet! She’s my favourite wrestler
Yeah, I thought that was pretty cool.

We love you, Asuka!! The Empress of Tomorrow! Hoping she wins her WrestleMania match this April 2024!
That place is dope and definitely calls back to a better time in video games and community.
Smaller local arcades like this are always so much fun. Everybody's having fun, chatting about games, just taking it easy.
You gotta change your shutter speed on your camera to 15 or 30 so the flickering on the CRT monitors goes away.
Guaranteed I played someone in that room online on Street Fighter 3 on the Xbox 360 at 3am back in 2013-14
That's very possible, these dudes seemingly live and die by this game.
This is SO SICK !! The Japanese really know how to have fun. Retro gaming at it's highest level ! WOOT !
sick death jacket liked
Always a joy to see retro arcade games
It is indeed. There are quite a few in my area, at least within a reasonable travel distance, so I'm planning to make a lot more videos like this.
That’s a dope Death sweater
If you're in Yokohama say hi to Ichiban...
And don't get into a 20 minute turn based battles with the chefs in China town.
I know it's "Shouryuken" but it still sounds like "ARRYUKEN!"
I need to bring this vibe to my neighborhood in the US
Nice Death hoodie ❤ 🤘
I came to write the very same stuff lol
Loving the background music
If you want to give any of it a listen on its own, I've provided links in the description where you can do so.
An Amazing Arcade Jim. 😊😊Also love the remix soundtracks as alwys
Much appreciated. All of the music is listed in the description if you want to give it a listen.

Amazing japanese arcade.

I know of it, but it's more of an indoor amusement type place with go karts, batting cages, stuff like that.
Nice Death hoodie Jim!

IF I do go to Japan. I'm coming Here!!!!

Dude love your work. But the music/commentary ratio is doing my head it. I can barely hear you talk but the music sections blow my windows out.

@Mad Panic Gaming
What other fighting games are there besides SF 3rd strike? By any chance did you guys see Marvel Vs Capcom 2?
When you edit your videos, please check the audio levels between talking and music. Cant hear the talking, so i turn up the volume, then the music comes in at like ten times the volume
What's with all the blinking scan lines on the screens??
And I read 3rd strike is coming back to EVO this year.
Old-school gaming is better than modern. Though I admit I am a Smash Ultimate player but I like Street Fighter.
Kinda makes me wonder why the arcades are still thriving in Japan but are completely dead in the States?
Very low desktop PC market share in Japan due to cultural and home space issues. Which means smaller amount of emulation.
Nice to go somewhere and not get shot in the face.😂😂
How does it work? coin system or i just have to pay a fee to access the place and play any game?

If I had that much money, I'd just have a killer home arcade that would be free to all.
Does the game center have a youtube channel? Normally they stream their games especially if they have tournaments
Their channel is linked in the description.
