At the final table where you're asked to write a note to the next recipient, it’s not just an ordinary note. They add a gimmick by having you write a "will," as if you're passing down a legacy to someone else. It's such a cute idea! (The message in the note is something like 'I hereby declare that I have lost all love and interest in this item and thus choose to part with it. I assure you that this decision has been well thought out, and I sincerely hope that, moving forward, I will exercise better judgment and mindfulness when acquiring new possessions.')
Ohhhh. Neither one of us speaks enough Thai to get that far and the people there didn’t speak enough English to explain it thoroughly. Thank you for explaining that!
Couldn't help but notice the song list on the back of her album. Who says the gods don't have a sense of humor? You always find something new and fun in your videos. 👍
Hey Serg, you got a good deal for the jbl speaker. I bought one new about 8 yrs. ago for 100 u.s. and continues to have great sound. The concept of market trading is a good ideal.
Yeah, Su paid $10 for that tripod and the JBL sells (used) for $30. But it was great that we each got what we wanted. The girl was happy with the tripod.
what an interesting even and idea, if it is in Ubon, I definitely go there, got loads and loads of old thing tha I want to giveaway, thanks for sharing mate, cheers!
Yeah, we quickly realize that people were bartering with relatively cool stuff. We just brought some regular clothes and a few other things. Will know better next year.
Nice Seiko Serg, i like your taste in watches! I still kick myself for not buying the Alpinist (and SARB 033) couple of years ago when they were reasonably priced and available...I was waiting for a special ocassion/reason to buy. Dang it lol.... fun video and cool idea. Su is always awesome too!
Serg , I can’t believe you passed on Lotso huggin Bear . 😂 Lotso huggin bear is from Toy Story 3 . I have kids 😂 Cool event … PS Sue is a keeper . So nice …
The problem is you never know what you might want. And somebody might present something that you didn’t even think of so I think the list would be a little over the top. But I know what you’re thinking, I had similar thoughts.
Serge is packing a Seiko Mojito, very nice, worth about $400 in 9/10 condition with the box. But these are the Thais that tourists almost never see or interact with. Very different from street life, commercial markets, night life.
That sounds a bit like where my former classmate Somkiate teaches. (his name is longer, but this is the short version he went by), Have Fun! This could be an actual live experience for fundamentals of money, and trade issues across business and economics (Barter is not very efficient for just that reason *coincidence of wants* don't ask me how many years I taught that, as a reason for the development of money and how money functions in the economy (improved efficiency))
I was happy to see that they had signs it everywhere, explaining the concept and the pluses of it. I think they should do this once a month and make it part of the curriculum for economics class.

Appreciate that as always.
Nice video Serg! Pretty cool event, bartering seems like it would be hard depending on what you have

I’ve always had a thing for watches. The Alpinist is a cool watch. I’m slowly hunting for a vintage Rolex 16750 GMT, but damn those are expensive.
Su is a wonderful add to your videos. You need to thank her more apiku 🐷🐻.
Good video handsome!
Su is pretty cool. Wait till you see what she can do with onions. 😁
Modern days’ barter trade…nice concept 👍👏
Yeah, this was a great market. I only wish they would do it once a month and not once a year.
@ agreed 👍
Great Idea they have done Serg.

This was a great market.
Looks fun! I would have a list of things interested in trading so people walking by can have an idea of what you may be looking for
