    I just found your channel. I love it. Your store is amazing. Thanks for sharing.

    In the future I would say you should try torx head screws. Far less risk of cam out on the screw and dealing with potential removal issues in the future.

      Lack of Robertson screws and drivers in the nation will do that to ya.

      I was thinking the same thing. I don't know why Americans are still using screw heads from 50+ years ago. The newer designs work so much better.

    Nice work! Don’t forget those dividers on the back of some of you bins!!

    • @JustABrickInTheBucket
      @JustABrickInTheBucket  ปีที่แล้ว

      YES! I forgot to mention this, but was so excited to find so many! It's so weird how when we put those up a few years ago we didn't see the value in taking them off! CRAZY! They have mostly been removed except for a few that could not be taken off without removing the drawers off the other side of the wall. But yeah most are off. Thanks so much for watching!

    Nice job! I was thinking of doing a frame like that in the future to mount akro mills. Going to save this video and copy the frame. Also love the system you use to stack the akros so you only walk down the isle once.

    Very nice video! Very informative. There's something soothing about seeing all those little drawers and knowing they are full of Legos! 😁

    Very well done video. Each one of those black bins holds 64 small trays. How many of those do you have? Also if you are in a garage, doesn't get hot? You have AC in there? I like all the lights in there as well.

    OMG I didn't watch this vid up until now, and it was majestic. Very awesome video production, and superb planning for your expansion. I bet in a couple months when you guys look into getting more storage space, you'll come up with extra space ideas within the garage. Keep it up! Cant wait for your august comeback!

    A big bit of hard work ! Nice done !
    What about the space under the units ?
    I use drawer units there ….
    Thanks for your update ! ❤

    • @JustABrickInTheBucket
      @JustABrickInTheBucket  ปีที่แล้ว

      As of now, we're not using that space. Unfortunately a full Akro unit cannot fit there, but we have talked about doing something with bins there to allow more space in the store. Thanks for watching Kevin!

  • @jroyal2589
    @jroyal2589 ปีที่แล้ว

    I would recommend building these racks on casters. So they can slide against the wall when you need to use the space and part out a set. And pulled out again to take up the full space to pick. But that's as a last resort

    • @JustABrickInTheBucket
      @JustABrickInTheBucket  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks JRoyal! We have heard this suggestion a lot! We've thought about it, but hope to be able to move before we add more substantial investment into the garage. But yeah... should we decide the garage is going to be a longer term thing than we want, that is a good option. Thanks for watching and for your suggestion!

  • @chriswhite5665
    @chriswhite5665 ปีที่แล้ว

    "maxed out the available space" - not until you make all of those walls movable so that you can eliminate most of the walkways. However, the wheels that you'd need to add probably wouldn't work so well on that carpet and it probably wouldn't make sense economically compared to renting a larger space. Keep up the great work and nice content!

    • @JustABrickInTheBucket
      @JustABrickInTheBucket  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lol... It's "maxed out" in terms of convenience. Should we relalize that it is not possible to move out due to financial reasons or whatever else, than the accordion walls are on our list to do, but I believe its too much investment for the space we're in now when we still do plan to move. It we decided to stay in the garage for another couple years then we would be doing that! Thanks for watching!

    Fantastic! You should consider a "rolling rack" system for these drawer units. Keep up the amazing content!

  • @bricktrooper462
    @bricktrooper462 ปีที่แล้ว

    An amazingly organized system that looks just as good as it is functional! I'm curious, what lights you are using in the space?

    • @JustABrickInTheBucket
      @JustABrickInTheBucket  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi BrickTrooper! Thanks for watching. It looks like they don't sell the exact lights we use anymore, but these are the replacement from the same company:
      amzn.to/3pJXDqN
      We currently have 15 of them in our store to provide a significant amount of light not only for us to see when we're working, but also to allow for a flood of light when we are filming. It is very bright, by far the brightest room in the entire house and can be a little overkill. But it looks good on camera. Realistically we could do with like 10-12 of these lights, not all 15.

    How many square feet/m2 does your garage have? I think I have to move to another storage and I cannot figure out how big it should be😄

    • @JustABrickInTheBucket
      @JustABrickInTheBucket  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Lucas! Our garage is about 350 square feet. We do however use another 100 square feet in the house for storage as well. We generally say our entire operation uses about 500 square feet to run. Thanks for watching! Good luck on your move!

    Will you use the space between floor and bottom akros for anything?

    • @JustABrickInTheBucket
      @JustABrickInTheBucket  ปีที่แล้ว

      Right now, we're not using the space, but we have talked about putting bins down there to hold larger piece count lots. It's an idea and depending how long we're in the garage, might come to reality. We'll see. Thanks for the suggestion Ian!

      We're really hoping late this summer or this fall. If not, we're worried about the longevity of running this business in the state of California due to the high cost of doing business. But we're really working to be out between summer and fall. Keep your fingers crossed!

    I see plenty of room there to expand. DON'T rent a place that you will have to pay rent on. I have seen too many small businesses bite it when they went to expand and add on a second location, only to go bankrupt with a long term contract for a space. Keep it up!!!

    Akros are so expensive man, especially with the dividers. How do you do it

    • @JustABrickInTheBucket
      @JustABrickInTheBucket  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes... Akros are very expensive. Over time, we just purchase more slowly to keep the store growing. The revenue helps to purchase the drawers. Thanks for watching!
