My dad was Operations manager for Pikes Peak. I grew up on this mountain and have seen every race since 85. It's CRAZY how far the race has come and the limits pushed. In the 90s, the thought of a motorcycle breaking the 10:00 barrier was not even a thought

I couldn't believe the amount of anxiety I had watching that bike running unstable at that corner. So glad he kept it together. What an amazing rider.
The total athlete and athleticism required to perform at this level is so much appreciated. Like watching any elite athlete. Pure fluidity and grace. Without a substantial dose of harnessing of the giant huevos can only get in the way and get you hurt. Great job Chris, Renni, KTM and the entire support crew.
I've got a 1290R yesterday. It is as fast as they say. Had a 2012 speed triple before and the engine seems like a moped in comparison to the ktm
