Thank you! 25 is too many for “happiness”, and being happy or feeling the emotion of happiness, which state of life? I would rather not devote so much time to it.
Habbit 18: Every morning I walk into the kitchen and say out loud how clean and tidy it is. I then verbally thank my yesterday self for doing it. It makes my wife laugh but it is like a self affirming cycle.
I live in England. I traced my ancestors who arrived from the Netherlands in 1645. I’ve always admired the Dutch people for their habits and views. Must be in my genes. Love your ideas.
Hello Peter a new subscriber here. Your comment about opinions is so true. My OH always says people are not born with a tattoo on their forehead saying I am a whatever (insert religion, gender, birth country, whatever you like). If we could all accept people as they are with no judgement the world could be so much happier and peaceful. But I will just dream on......
This year I started daily-ish zazen meditation and started attending a Zen center once a week. This experience can change you. I've found myself much less attached to opinions and less likely to feel threatened by those of others. I still do progressive work for a living so it's not like I'm shirking my responsibility. I just see more humanity in people I disagree with and I'm noticing situations (like doom scrolling) that cause my divisive feelings rather than blaming the person I disagree with. I love Thich Naht Hanh's model of engaged Buddhism. It heals my soul.
Great ideas! I especially like getting outdoors. It is so calming and soothing, just like you said. And taking a walk is free! We need to feel we are part of something bigger!
when i was a kid in the 70's, i would play an adult and fake drive my parents car to arrive at an 'Everything Store', as i named it as a child. i could find anything in the everything store, which was my parents house and everything in it! i was ahead of my time. psychic.
Thank you for this video. I appreciate the thoughtfulness you put into this list. I’m going to schedule many of these items into my calendar so I remember to do them. Have a good day!
I keep an illustrated journal which I carry everywhere. For a few months I tried an experiment, and kept a nature journal. I used the free guide provided by John Muir Laws, lots (40) of very short instructional videos (The Nature Journal Connection) intended for children but which anyone can use, especially beginners. One of his suggestions is, whenever you observe something - a plant, an animal, the weather or any other aspect of nature - when you sketch it, write down the answer to (1) ‘ I notice …’ (2) ‘It reminds me of …’ (3) ‘I wonder…’. After a few months I had filled a sketchbook and I honestly could hardly believe that the images I had created had come from my hand. I guess its pretty obvious that if you practice any skill regularly you will get better, but what was unexpected was that it Seemed to kind of rewire my brain because using 3 prompts I was making all kinds of other connections in my work and elsewhere.
Everyone in my country needs to heed the open-mindedness. People are so closed-minded and it just fuels hate and oppression and division. It makes me very depressed and cynical Wishing you peace in the New Year, Peter! Keep up the great videos
This is all the advice in one pot! I have downloaded it to enjoy and work on at leisure . Thanks. Ist go for a walk! Your beach looks like one near me in South Africa called Strand appropriately 😂
What a absolute weird way to go about someone that is late or later in a seminar.... the coach is not your 'higher power' and what were you ... a12 years old child?? Come on, please.

I love that you mentioned Nudacris the hairless cat; I saw a video about him recently and it made my day when I heard his name! 😊

Hey Jason, it's been a while! 👋
Most important is #25.
Dank je voor al deze tips, er zijn er veel goeie bij! Allemaal denk ik :-)
No one likes to talk on the phone anymore. Maybe it's me they don't like ! So I talk to strangers in the store or at the park.
or on youtube.. Hi do not feel you are unliked....
Also if you arrive early for something you are ontime, if you are ontime you are late and if you are late- forget it.
Watching this, I just magically came up with names for my plants... Deym (≧▽≦)
Too bad energy "fairies" are very hard to come by

Very long video, somewhere at the number 14, my brain boiled with an excess of information... 🤔
It doesn’t need to be watched all at once.
