- Mistakes in Stock Market can cost heavily to the investor. This list is based on my learning in the share market. As a retail investor, it is very difficult to understand the basics of the stock market.
Investors may avoid buying news driven or regulatory driven stocks. It is important to book profit and also put a stop loss. It is very difficult for a stock to defy the market direction. Therefore, you should flow with the direction of the market and invest/exit accordingly. Besides that, you should have a basic understanding of the company and sector in which you are investing.

11 Mistakes to avoid in the Stock Market
1 Do not invest heavily in PSU stocks
2 Do not invest in news driven stocks
3 Do not invest in stocks that are driven by Regulators (Regulator controlled stocks)
4 Do not depend on other (stock gurus) for investments
5 Do not be emotional while selling stocks - sell stocks when target achieved
6 Keep Stop Loss for Stocks
7 Monitor your investments regularly
8 Before investing know market direction
9 Do analysis before investing - Use fundamental analysis for long term investment
10 Do not invest in Operator Driven Stocks i.e. Check Delivery % if less that means traders are trading stocks
11 Before investing have knowledge of sector - Do research, read papers

Really you are doing good job sir if i followed you from last one year then i have not in the huge losses right now. Actually i have my long term investment in stocks and mutual funds in 2015 and was sufficient for me and that time i don't know about intraday and i heard about intraday from TIP'S PROVIDER companies and blindly follow them and lost my hard earning in intraday . Right now i am habitual of intraday and even not able to leave intraday. Kindly made a video on how to quit intraday trading . So that the trader's like me can free ourselves from this addiction i.e intraday.

Great video collection. I appreciate your time and effort. we can't predict market direction but what action would you take during major market correction( which is very difficult to know unless it has already happened). Would you go all cash or hold onto your long term position( individual stocks) ? I am comfortable with holding index funds but I am not sure when to act and what to do with individual stocks since it could be small correction or it can dip as much as 50%. Sometimes some stocks don't recover ever and big chunk of portfolio can be lost.

Stop-loss is not necessary for long term investors. On the contrary, decline in price after purchase is an opportunity to lower the average price of stock purchased. I have always seen the stock climbing higher & higher after I sell it using stop-loss. On the other side, I have always gained by purchasing at lower price & averaging the price at lower level. In this way, I have always doubled the money in 2-4 years.

I am a small retail investor in equity. I have purchased Suzlon and IDFC in Aug 2015 but it continue remains below buy value even today and hence I sold both of them today. I want to buy share of good co of the same refunded value. Can I buy share of another co on the same day what I sold. Pls advice.

nitin ji which stock broker is best sbi smart or zerodha.sbi smart takes no cost to transfer money to add money to trading account while zerodha charges for it.how much significant it is?
My personal account is with Zerodha and found it to be good. This is not a suggestion but just my personal experience.
To fix the charges issue. Zeodha has an account with HDFC Bank and you can link your HDFC bank account with zerodha. If you don't have account in HDFC bank then you can open. There will not be any charges for transfer within HDFC Bank.
