- Intraday Trading is a very risky trade. If the probability of making money is HIGH, the probability of losing money is also equally HIGH. The biggest problem is that investors initiate Intraday Trading without understanding the nitty gritty of the same. Therefore, you can always find traders complaining that why my stop loss trigger almost everytime.
In this video, on Intraday Trading i will discuss 5 tips to avoid losing money. The most critical step is to identify the trend in the stock. Be it is upward or downward, you can make money either ways. If you are not comfortable with the stock or not able to understand its movement then you should not initiate intraday trading.
I observed that in order to be profitable, you should not execute more than 2-3 trade every day. Lastly, you should never touch news or result driven stocks for Intraday Trading.

Hi Nitin ji and all other viewers. I am very new to trading. Some day I earn and some day I loose money. But overall I am in loss but it's under control. What I have noticed, that biggest danger in intraday is when you trade in higher volume. At that time fear and emotions overcome your decisions and you mostly loose money. Better, trade in small quantity. You will be happier and in long run may make some money.
Thank you Mr. Bhatia for sharing your knowledge. I am trading for last two months and I have stored the rule in my mind for intraday trading that never touch news or result driven stocks.

In future retail shares jumped from 135 to 162 next day after relaince and future group deal but started coming down to 90 in few weeks. Many investors lost money there.

I wish to share one of very bad decisions I made on Shalimar paints. I heard the analyst talk and media and dumbly purchased a block stock for LONG. it so happened the stock prices started tumbling from Rs.355 to Rs.254. It was heart rending to see the price tumble down. Even though I did the technical analysis using MACD, CCD and RSI. I had not heard the news of the quarterly performance. I request all to be very careful and not to be desperate .

Apropos trading in a stock of which the results are to be declared, it is a good idea to start tracking the price movement at least a couple of days in advance. In case, there is an appreciable price run in anticipation of good result, you can expect profit booking soon after declaration of the result. Accordingly, a trader needs to assess market positioning of the stock before the result should be monitored to anticipate profit booking or otherwise after declaration of the result.

after technical analysis , still i cant do intraday trading, i suffer losses . when i suffer loss then i trade more encourage to overcome that loss and again i suffer more loss then i quit that that , again next morning i tried to get some benefit , but out of 5 days one or two days i get benefit ,mostly i loose money in intraday

Algo trading know where your stop loss is which is quite predictable so stop loss in Intraday trading does not help in my experience.

My experience in 25 days intraday is stop loss is 95 percent times triggered even if you keep 2.5 percentage
It seems like you are newbie to trading. You lost 100000 in 25 days that shows that you know nothing and was doing speculative trading with no money management.

in intraday I always react quickly to book profit. and I do limited trade in a month.. and I found that making profit by short selling is a effective way. bcz market reacts on bad news more than good news

I lost 97 thousand in ZEEL in one day three times 2.5 percent was triggered in same day.
1 lost while short selling Infratel 400 shares 305 was short sell price, when it went to 312 again short sold 600 shares without keeping stop buy the total quantity was 1000 shares @ avverage price of 309.20 but the btock went to action after 3.10 324 minus 309.20 i.e 14.80 X 1000 = 14800 and commission lost another day.

Hi manjula G, Really sad that hear this. Are you planning to continue in the market or stop? I hope you are able to bear this loss and not get in much trouble. Here is what you should do-
1. Money management. I suggest don't use more than 20% of your capital in a single trade. That way even if you loose money it will not be huge amount.
2. Always be ready to take loss when the trade doesn't go your way. Always use stop loss and please don't average.
3. Always decide what is your target and stoploss by doing technical analysis. Just shooting in the air will not bring you profit at all.
4. Avoid trading in share only because of good news. Follow the trend and depth of the market.
Money management, emotional control, consistency is everything.

yes true... I thought Titan would go up.. it went around 940 while one news channel aired the result at around at 14:25 I thought I would book profit before market closes,, but my bad luck right after the result it fell steeply to close at 919 where actually I bought 3 days ago not sure if it will go back to hit high again so this is very true should not invest around share result days.

Don't you think the buy and sell quantity can give a good indication towards direction of price movement? From my experience it can give some idea of the direction of price movement according to the difference between buy and sell quantities for that share. The change in direction in terms of this difference, which means change in direction from increasing to decreasing or vice versa can be an indicator.

It was wonderful video on intraday trading. I am absolutely a novice in this field but sincerely want to explore the probabilities. My very fundamental question in this is that can I hold on to the order of sale on a particular day closure because of the loss anticipated at the ed of the session. Is it allowed or I have to compulsorily sell the stock at the price at the end of the session. I have just retired from my manufacturing business.

Intraday Trading Tips
Technical Analysis is must for Intraday and for Long term Fundamental is must
1 Identify trend in stock - Volume, Delivery, Delivery %, F&O Data, Support & Resistance
2 Initiate intraday trade within first 30 min, if direction of stock different from what you analysed leave that stock
3 Fix Profit & Loss
4 Take max 2 to 3 trades in a day
5 Keep track of news related to shortlisted stocks for the day. Do not trade in such stocks

i would like to suggest some more in intraday technique. I do trade every day with the points u said.
homework is must. i would like to suggest that I enter the trade by 25% quantity initially . then when I am confident with the way stock is performing i enter the remaining quantity . if I am not confident then I exit with loss but the loss is less as quantity is less. stop loss is must and always have trailing stop loss so your profit doesn't turn into loss.
