great looking bikes . Especially the Scrambler [ with a decent front fender ! ] .
I could see myself setting one up as an Adventure tourer .
That would be cool!
I reckon the Scrambler 400x is going to be huge & be hard to get I suspect.Defenitely tour on it & Highway capable & gravel road freindly.Kit it out with panniers for Moto camping & long weekends away.Light enough & small enough to have heaps of fun & get crash bars & if dropped be able to pick it up without putting back out.Aftetmarket slip on save weight gain 2-4Nm putting it up 40Nm & sound good to.40Hp is plenty for this bike & with slip on get torque close to 40Nm which is perfect & with header get 40Nm easily.
I own a Trident 🔱 660 so Scrambler 400x interests me but Speed 400 looks so good & look great next to Trident 🔱 with similar tank design.
Harley Davidson 500x is coming soon 47hp 46Nm parallel twin 360° but 208kg & has adjustable forks for preload & fully adjustable rear shock so alot of features & used Benelli Leocino 500 engine. The Triumph is ultra light & big plus.Interesting times.
@@ruahinesrider awesome post cheers dude
I saw these at Two Wheels Edinburgh. I like the scrambler, my mate has ordered one in green, not so fussed on the Speed, it could do with a bigger rear tyre/wheel. Pricing is good and it’ll be interesting to see what the test rides go like.
The scrambler in green looks like a damn good bike
Totally agree its gorgeous
Brought it home last week.. Loving it !
Enjoy it
We been waiting for these two lovely bikes, just waiting for the prices!
The key point will undoubtedly be the UK price point, that could make or break it
£4995 give or take a few quid for the Speed and £5495 give or take a few for the Scrambler, unreal price
@@simotofoto well at that point they certainly should fly out 😉
£5000. I've just swapped a 2003 HD Twin cam Lowrider in for one at a dealer. But may have to wait until June for delivery. Sounds like orders are piling in!
Scrambler will give Gs310 a run for its money at that price point!
Fantastic look around I have to say they look fantastic and what a cracking first big bike option to bring new riders into the Triumph stable. I think 40hp with a lightweight bike is just about spot on.
Couldn't agree more!
I hope this also spurs some of the other manufacturers to dip their toe into this market. Yamaha have the 300twin engine in the mt03. Give us that in the xsr style.
Ordered a 400 scrambler a month ago, as it just looks great. This will be my first Triumph, so it is opening up a new market.
Welcome on board 🤘🏼✌🏻
I've currently got a '22 Street Scrambler 900, but I wouldn't mind downsizing to the 400X. The tank range will be of interest to me. I've got to say that I'd probably prefer an analogue rev counter and digital speedo, but that wouldn't be a deal breaker for me. Nice review mate and I can't wait until you're able to do a road test on them. 😎
Cheers Bob cant wait to get one out on the road, will get a vid up when I do, Si
@simotofoto - Interestingly, prices have been announced here in France. 6395€ for the Scrambler 400 X and 5695€ for the Speed 400. Even though the Triumph site was saying that prices would be announced in January 24 only a day or two ago.
Superb 👍
I had the xe1200 but thought it was a bit tall ,that scrambler 400 looks great .
Cheers
Dave from Cupar
Cheers Dave ✌🏻
So I’ve been riding, the speed 400 for almost 2 months now
I would say that it’s a great bike
And this is actually not my first bike before this, I was riding the tiger, 800 and coming from that bike to 400 is it really great
Thanks for sharing John glad you’re enjoying it 😎✌🏻
These new 400cc bikes seem a fantastic choice for getting back into biking! I don't mind paying a touch extra for the quality but as with a previous viewer the 450 Himalayan will be the main competition. Both with 90mpg 😊
Will be interesting to see if there is a quality difference, I will be very surprised if there’s not.
I rode a Himalayan in Portugal recently. Admittedly the original one, but never been so underwhelmed by a bike…
Hey, thanks for this vid! What would you expect euro prices to be?
£4995 Speed £5595 Scrambler
I think at @4.33 you meant to say “water cooled” but it came out as “air cooled”.
Ahhh sorry Stewy that bloody accent lol
And the seat high is ? As I'm sure her indoors would love something like this
Thinking of downsizing from r1200gs to the 400x myself
You're not the only one Timothy :)
Think quite a few customers will wait to check out the eagerly awaited Himalayan 450LC, before choosing the one they like. These bikes look ok, but I'm hoping that RE do the business and the new 450s are as good as they look to be in spy shots. Just wish they'd hurry up!
Cheers Jimmy, I would highly recommend getting up close and personal with these the build is impeccable :)
Those would be a crackin first bike, or indeed a real good commuter/messing about bike for someone who already has a 'big' bike. Bit of a scoop there getting these on video in the UK Si! Nice one. 👍
Cheers Des hope you well fella
I'm actually dropping my big bike for the 400x scrambler. It can do pretty much anything the big bike can do within the limits of the law.
@@Sunesen totally agree
Interesting pair of bikes, would like to see them. sorry if i missed it but where is your shop ?
Hillington Glasgow
bugger too far!@@simotofoto
400x, that’s what I wanted
Get one ordered they are mega
I would say the Scrambler 400X is the better bike for taller folk and would definitely be my choice of machine, particularly as Im 6ft 4"!
Fair enough Mark
Great looking bikes , i have much experience with Triumph , dont want to sound dismal but what is the security system like life any !!! you know there these will attract the wrong attention when left parked up .
Immobiliser standard fit
Would love to see this model done in bobber style
Great shout Dave
Would love to see this model done in tiger style...
(They have a lot of options...)
Maybe Cafe Racer/Thruxton style...
Have you got these for display now at this very moment?
No they are going home to Triumph in the morning boooooooo
Maybe I missed it but, does the scrambler have a larger diameter front wheel? 40hp is plenty for a bit of fun but like all the modern Triumphs once again they are a bit on the heavy side. Being generous I guess that's what you get if you want a strong good quality build. I like 'em.
Yeah sorry i was so excited I missed it lol the speed has a 17" front and rear and the Scrambler is a 19" front 17" rear
Can you put a main stand on the bike's?
They have not released the accesories here yet Frank i'm not sure will update when I know
Try riding one. There are dozens of Indian vid reviews and they are established in the show rooms.
I wonder if Triumph might ‘one up’ BSA by producing a 500 to compete with the Goldstar?
Personally I think BSA blew it. I wasn’t overly impressed with the build quality at the price point. This blows it out of the water.
I took delivery of Speed 400 in India
Awesome hope you are loving it :)
For real though, when will the actual riding videos be out?
Hopefully see the demo bikes through in November/December
When are they coming to the USA?
I'm not sure Ronald sorry
do they have an official price for europe / uk yet?
Not official
I really like the look of this bike. The problem here is the price. I actually think triumph could destroy their own bonneville sales. I’m sure they will be wary of that.
We are delighted with the price Matt especially given the quality of the bike
@@simotofoto what's the price ??
What's that spray on rust business all about 1:37 and 1:47 ?
Not sure what you mean
It's the lighting causing a reflection, should've went to Specsavers 😮😯🙈😂
As an older biker I welcome these new bikes from Triumph. I'm considering buying one but one feature is putting me off. It's the awful looking instrument cluster. My preference is to have two clocks, Speedo and rev counter .
Fair enough
I don't want to sound pedantic but the word is embossed.😊
Thank you 🙏🏻
@@simotofoto I feel guilty now.😞
Isn’t it Speed 400? Instead of Street?
Yeah Speed
these are the future... with fuel prices going up... and speed limits coming down.... the huge Bmw/Ktm/v strom are way TOO BIG for me... very tempted but the scram has more character... also rumour kawasaki 400 scrambler using versys twin.. it will topallof them.... and a honda/kawasaki 400/4 in 2024.... i kinda have my funds now i dont think i can wait
Get it ordered:)
They still not released the 'official' fuel consumption figures, doesn't that strike anyone else as odd 🤔
Yes… I believe it’s quite a high revving engine. Don’t get me wrong, I still think it will be good, but i don’t think it will be 80+. I’d liked to be proved wrong however.
What's the starting price for these babies?
Will be around 5K
@@simotofoto thanks mate!
A little disappointed in the Scrambler exhaust otherwise a beautiful bike
Aftermarket exhaust, save weight and nicer sound.
What about the price
£4995 Speed £5595 Scrambler
Top speed??
Head wind or tail wind lol, not sure John not ridden it yet will post up a review vid when I get a chance
The scrambler would be so much better with lifted pipe, like the other scramblers have. The gigantic branding on the Speed is beyond ugly.
Fair enough
I don’t think they will sell well in North America. I’m a 2017 Trophy SE and 2022 Gold Line T120 owner. Loosing faith in my T120 already had a new tank replaced and bike is currently 2 weeks in for randomly revving up to 5000 on its own backfiring and showing high engine temp alarm…. Not too impressed so far. My Trophy is bulletproof though.
Sorry to hear your having issues with the Bonnie I hope you get them resolved
I disagree, I think both of these bikes hit the sweet spot as a cool urban warrior and a great allrounder in the classic scrambler fitting. I am seriously thinking of picking up the scrambler as my day to day rider. Hopefully the Indian made single will prove to be durable.
Viking rider😂
Hahaha
This thing will be a farkle magnet; spoked wheels (as an option) would make me reach for my wallet.
lovely looking bikes but too much tech for this class of bike ,
Fair enough!
Triumph has big problems getting their spareparts delivered - that’s the only thing that stops me from buying one of these….
Where are you based?
@@simotofoto
Germany - and it isn’t just here a problem…
Watch Freddie Dobbs and his hunt for a simple gasket…
Triumph really has to work on this issue
I'm sorry, are you the one who knocks?
Who's there?
Heisenberg, i presume (^~^;)ゞ
Bit lazy on research! Not air cooled at all. Radiator is quite unobtrusive though.
From Triumph site "Liquid-cooled, 4 valve, DOHC".
I said it’s liquid cooled 😎
At about 4:35. You say it's air cooled.. then say it has a well tucked away radiator. Not a big deal though. Smashing bikes!
@@colincampbell2153 slip of the tongue
I would like to see Triumph make a electric motorcycle
Its in the pipeline have a look on Google at the TE-1
Rebadged Royal Enfields?Which ain't a bad thing.
Really
@@simotofoto Are they?
@@dennisbailey6067 I would say absolutely not
Ridiculous comment
No! Nothing like them. About the only thing in common may be the Bybre brakes!
New design. UK models made in Thailand.
