@KoolKeithProductions ITS mostly episode 2 that has the bad dialogue. Especially when Anakin is trying to be romantic, or discussing how sand “gets in everything”. I doubt a real-life Padme would have fallen in love with such a bad talker. He is too cringe .

Obi says "you WILL pay attention to my lead..." Ani responds with "...why..." Obi rightly asks "WHAT?" And then Ani SMOOTHLY replies with "...why...ELSE do you think we were assigned to her? Protection is the job of local security, not JEDI. It's overkill..." This ONE exchange establishes their relationship for the rest of the franchise. It showed that Ani's not that little kid anymore. He has his own thoughts and opinions about how things should go, and he's not afraid to speak up and state that. Now...(sigh)...let's talk about sand lol Look, I don't love the line, BUT there's a reason he says it. Firstly, remember that he's an awkward, Jedi geek who's trying to mack on his childhood crush when he knows doing so is forbidden, so of course he won't be smooth 😅 Secondly, she's talking about how beautiful her home planet is, full of water and lush environments, so he talks about HIS home planet, and well...there ain't much to say about it but...SAND. LOTS of sand, EVERYWHERE lol He was just trying to connect with her, in his own goofy way. And ppl love to say they don't "get" why she fell for him if he's that damn goofy, but l totally get it. Anakin is an AVALANCHE of honesty. It flows outta him like a river, so when you're a child queen/senator, I'm sure most ppl tell you what you want to hear. Ani doesn't. He tells her EXACTLY how he feels about something, even if it's a bit dark and unsettling. ("I killed them all") comes to mind lol But l can see how that can just be intoxicating for Padme when NO ONE in her life is that open and honest with her. If you rewatch the movie with that in mind, you'll see completely how she fell for him. Bro never lies to her. EVER.
Canonically, Force sensitives are able to communicate telepathically, so the two of them could easily have had a whole conversation about this on the DL😂

While Qui-gon superficially speaks to her like a servant while respecting her as the leader that she she is.

The way Qui-gon and Obi-wan look at each other when Padme reveals herself looks like they had a bet going on about how long she would wait, and Obi-wan lost.
Darth JarJar's intellect is on a whole different spectrum of reality, playing 6d chess with force ghosts. The most insidius part is that in a move right out of Death Note or Code Geas he actually used the mind trick on HIMSELF to suppress his powers until triggered by his appointment to the senate allowing him to trigger the chain of events leading to order 66... His force leap and such were accidental reflexes due to his muscle memory. It all makes sense.
This is what made qui gon one of the best jedi ever. I'd love to see more of his training from dooku. Yes I did see the cartoon that shown some of this.
They should've had Qui-gon roll his eyes and grin over her revealing herself to the gungans. Saw that one coming the moment she left the ship--on the first viewing!
Qui-Gon is my favorite Jedi, he’s what a Jedi truly should be. He recognizes humanity and deals with it in a healthy way, but the rest of the Order teach suppression and dogma. The other Jedi became so corrupt and disconnected.
In the Expanded Universe this is actually kind of explained in a small way. Each person has their own distinct energy or aura in the force. By knowing the person you can pick their force presence out from others. If Qui-gon (and Obi-wan) knew this than it's likely how he knew. Edit: I think this even more likely as even in the OT you see this happen. Vader senses Obi-wan through the force on the Death Star. Luke knows it's Vader on the Death Star in Return. I think this is specifically how he knew.
The way Obi-Wan and Qui Gon look at each other when Padmé finally revealed her queenship makes me think they made a bet on whether or not she’d say anything. A bet which Qui Gon one.

Qui-Gon is my favorite Jedi, he’s what a Jedi truly should be. He recognizes humanity and deals with it in a healthy way, but the rest of the Order teach suppression and dogma. The other Jedi became so corrupt and disconnected.
This is part of what makes watching the movie so cool. That he's actually taunting her, knowing her ruse. 😅

In the Expanded Universe this is actually kind of explained in a small way. Each person has their own distinct energy or aura in the force. By knowing the person you can pick their force presence out from others. If Qui-gon (and Obi-wan) knew this than it's likely how he knew.
Edit: I think this even more likely as even in the OT you see this happen. Vader senses Obi-wan through the force on the Death Star. Luke knows it's Vader on the Death Star in Return. I think this is specifically how he knew.

You should read the queen peril book. It gives a deeper insight into padme's mind where she knew that Qui Gon knew her secret.

The way Obi-Wan and Qui Gon look at each other when Padmé finally revealed her queenship makes me think they made a bet on whether or not she’d say anything.
A bet which Qui Gon one.
So the high ground, Obi-wan learned that from Qui Gon.
Padme got hit by incompetence and thus got trolled.
Always loved how Liam acted as Qui-gon, especially these parts.
