Enjoying your channel, Mario. I’ve been following a lot of knowledgeable European motovloggers for a while now. It’s cool to find great content from someone from my side of the pond in the USA.
I just started playing around with this idea, I screenshot the map and open it on my iPad, then draw over the blue line while recording the screen on my iPad Pro. Your method looks much more controlled
I attempted a few different methods including something similar to what you've tried but this one is the most time-efficient with the best results (IMO). Plus the software will let you make all kinds of cool things.
Well done. Although I don't use your edit software I will look at applying your system to my software. I would ask you can you go up and down, back and forth rather that simply up and down, or an across the screen map. Thanks for sharing your video and time.
There was alot of interesting information in this series although I must admit I didn't watch all of every video because most of it was way above my pay grade but for those viewers that are really interested in this sort of thing I imagine you have been a great help. Think Spring / Summer.
Thanks! I realized this series wouldn't necessarily be for everyone but hopefully it'll cut down the learning curve a bit for those wanting to start making videos. Just got back from NJ a few minutes ago doing some off-road riding and planning to do some more tomorrow in VA but I'm ready for it to warm up a little more for some street riding.
I would add the car in FCPX using key frames. I did something similar with a plane in this video around the 2:50 mark th-cam.com/video/eKrZ7znMgvA/w-d-xo.html
It's actually a stand-alone program that you work in separately outside of FCPX. I have quite a few plug-ins and custom templates/titles/filters/LUTs etc that I use. Some I've bought but most I've created in Motion.
Hey Mario... I keep coming back to your video but it doesn’t quite fit my needs. I'm looking for a way/app to create an animated red line/dots that shows our route on a map to be included in our videos... just like you showed, however, we document our bicycle tours with videos created with iMovie on an iPad we carry along. I've just learned how to do it with Route Generator on my laptop but I don't want to carry the laptop while bike touring. We use iPhones and iPad. Can you recommend an app to solve this or a how to video on TH-cam? TY
I don't know of a way to recreate it on an iPad at the moment. While there could be something that exists now, back when I was researching I couldn't find anything.
Thanks for your response 2WR... it took me a while but I did figure out a very quick and sloppy way of doing it that absolutely meets my needs! I can do a map that is ready for iMovie in about minutes on my iPad. I made a video on how to do it... I’ll admit it’s not the best but most folks should be able to follow along. th-cam.com/video/z781tljTRuM/w-d-xo.html
Awesome Mario, thank you so much... now I need to get in there and start messing around with it. I really appreciate that you did this tutorial, I've been waiting for it.
Andrew, no problem man! It's a really great tool and I'm still only really using a small portion of it's capabilities. The other night I used it to update and create some new title templates for social media names/handles. Man does that speed up the workflow!
Great video Mario!! Thank you for taking the time in sharing your editing tutorial. I'm using FCPX and about to purchase Motion 5. I came across some map animation that i would like to create which I uploaded here; th-cam.com/video/jOyefwAZSEA/w-d-xo.html Do you know of any program that this can be created in? Thanks again, Ray 👍😊
Excellent tutorial. Didn’t know about Motion 5. Thanks for the clear explanation on how to make that path animate. Easy enough!

Excellent tutorial! Thanks for the clear explanation! And i was pleasantly surprised to see Motion already on my Mac!
You're quite welcome!
this is by far the easiest way I have found on TH-cam to do this. thanks a lot, bro!
Glad it helped!
Thanks a lot man, this video was great and you introduced me to a great piece of software too! Thanks bro keep riding
Glad it helped!
I've been searching days for a plugin to do this, but they are all quiete expensive. But this does the trick! Great tutorial, thank you!
can we use google maps screenshot for our youtube videos without getting the strike?
Brilliant!
Built my first one following these simple instructions :)
Thanks, works great. Trying to figure out how to get a pic of cartoon RV to drive route.. this was big help.

Thanks this has been a Gold mine find.
Agreed. Bought the tools, followed video step-by-step. Thanks Super Mario.

Absolutely awesome! Your video is so simple to follow and execute! I have been trying to find a solid way to animate maps!
Glad it was helpful
Good video. Solid info. Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom.
I use After Effects but I am digging the interface and intuitiveness if that program! Thanks for the tutorial!
Obviously, I'm an Apple guy so it made sense to give Motion a go. I've been enjoying it.
Great Video Thanks for sharing it !
You Sir are a 2 Wheeled Legend! Thank you so much for this informative video :D
No problem!
Mario, would love to hear your thoughts on having a dedicated motorcycle GPS unit vs. using smartphone mapping apps.
That's an excellent idea for a video!
@@2WR My thoughts exactly! 😉 Thanks for what you do!
Thanks buddy. this is Awesome and simplest tutorial. :)
what is the software u have used?
As I stated in the video, Motion
Nice Video....I have used motion to make them but you don't need to buy motion if you don't want to. It can be done in Keynote
Good to know.
Thanks for the video, very useful!
thank you, after a few videos I think is the best way to do it
thank you very much, great tutorial! How can I attach a car icon to the track?
I would add the car in FCPX using key frames. I did something similar with a plane in this video around the 2:50 mark th-cam.com/video/eKrZ7znMgvA/w-d-xo.html
Thats pretty cool man...Always wondered that myself. so that is just a Plug-
In to FCP? any other Plug-ins you use that are cool?

what software did you use to animate de map? Thanks for your answer.
As I stated in the video, Motion
Excellent video!! Thank you so much this really helped me out a lot.
Glad it helped! Update..lately the Google Map is a little better colors so I don't have to adjust it as much in photoshop
Cool tutorial Mario. Very informative.
Thanks Colin.
Brilliant mate 👍🏻
I've wondered about this since the first time I saw you do it..thanks for the info!!
You're welcome!
Thank's mate- exactly what I wanted to know for a very looooooooong time 🤠- Good job👍
Glad it helped!
@@2WR it sure did, just purchased Motion- now on to learning that stuff 😬 :-)
fantastic thanks buddy great vid
Brilliant!
Thanks for the video!
Are there any copyright issues when using it on TH-cam?
None that I’ve experienced in the dozens I’ve done so far
@@2WR I mean Google map
I know what you mean; I've never had Google flag me for anything. Possibly because google owns youtube
Thank you for this :)

Damn this is helpful. Many thanks, man!!!

Great tutorial
Nice thanks
Thx dude this was really usefull 👌

¡Gracias!
If you have a Mac its much easier to do this in KeyNote following basically the same process and its FREE!
That was interesting thanks
Damn....That would take me a week to do....lol
Took me quite awhile to figure it out.
Surely there's an easier way?
Than setting up a template and spending a few minutes customizing every video after that? If so, please send me the link.
@@2WR Just so many dots......... It's a good video. Peace.
Gotcha, having to dot it out is definitely the time consuming piece.

Do you know of any program that this can be created in? Thanks again, Ray 👍😊
You can do that with a combination of FCPX and Motion 5 but it's gonna take some time.
Thanks......... Good to know it can be done with FCPX & Motion. Now to figure it all out. 😊
