Just came across your channel & Alaska series. Great content & info and what a surprise to see Jim Trachta at 4:14!!! Planning a ride/trip for next summer, great breakdown, thanks for sharing!!!
Thanks for providing some valuable info and bringing back some fond memories. I lived in Fairbanks 2 years and Anchorage for 3, seems like yesterday but a while back for sure.
Great breakdown and very helpful, thanks. I look forward to the rest of your videos about the ride. This trip has been on my radar for a while. I just need to work on my timing.
A trip like this is on my bucket list! A couple years ago my wife, myself and some other friends went to Fairbanks for a half-marathon, hot springs and northern lights and we ate at Salty's on 2nd. Good spot! There's practically nothing in Coldfoot, so I was interested in seeing how you were going to explain the sleeping arrangements there. LOL Awesome info on the trip, really appreciate the insight, Mario!
Thanks for the info. Hope to take advantage one day. Totally understand trailering out west. I vowed to never ride across Kansas (fill in any plains state here) again.
Thanks for the video and fantastic resources! And absolutely no shame in trailering to a destination. Ohio to Nebraska sucks the wind out of my sails before I can even reach the Rockies to get some good riding in. Ever thought of, or have experience with, shipping bikes?
Really appreciate the cost breakdown. I only have one bucket list cycle trip, and this is it. I am looking forward to following along. Also, I watched your first trip.. Time goes by too fast! I'm curious if you'd run the same tires again?
Thinking of doing this next year. Do you have gps file that starts from Seattle? Which month would be more ideal (July or August to start from Seattle?)
Aside from the couple I stated to book a couple days ahead of time I booked the rest day of. In the hundreds of nights on these trips I can count on one hand the amount of times I’ve booked ahead.
Two quick questions: 1. How far out did you make hotel reservations? 2. When/how much/how did you get Canadian currency for your trip (assuming you did not use your credit card exclusively)? Thanks.
1) with the exceptions for Muncho Lake, Coldfoot and Deadhorse all rooms were booked day of. Those 3 were 2-3 days ahead of time. 2) $0 all credit card
Crazy expensive hotel stays. Did a trip to northern sweden, norway and finland this summer. A few nights wild camping for free. Cabins 50-80 USD One night in a hotel cost 140 USD. All costs split in two = half the cost per person. Dirt cheap compared to your cost.
I really wanna go in the summer of 2025, will take couple of weeks off work. I will most probably start the trip from Calgary. Please let me know if someone wants to join and split the cost. Thanks
Thanks Brother. This really helps. Thank you again.
Stay blessed ❤

Thanks man!
Great breakdown. If anyone has a bike and time off from work, with some planning, you can definitely take this adventure.

Great info, will be very helpful for those planning a similar trip. Gotta love those Marriott points !
Thanks for the breakdown Mario! Appreciate the time

John, wish you the best on your own trip. Hope you enjoy the video series and feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
The most underrated motorcycle channel on TH-cam 🧐
Thanks man!
Thanks for the breakdown. It is crazy how hotel costs have sky rocketed!
Some stayed cheap but yes…things have gone up

Thanks for sharing. This is great, as always.
Glad u liked it!
You were just a few miles from us here at All Moto Tire just south of Kalispell.
My buddy lives in Whitefish (well, technically Olney) so I’ll be back out. We may do some snow machines in the winter.

I touch on how they wore in the bike debrief video I posted today, but yea I'd run those tires again.
NICE SHARE VIDEO

Planning this trip with my son in 2026. Did you book all the hotels ahead of time or did you just wing it?

Thank you!! Planning a possible solo trip in 2025 from Colorado
Me as well but I’m a bit nervous to go alone lol. Please let me know if you wanna team up. I’m in Houston btw. Thanks
Also looking to ride to Alaska this summer from CO
@@likeawind123Will do!
@@j_santryI may be starting a new job which could put this plan on hold

"I guess my tastes have changed since then" Haha. Age does that to you.
Places I stay now (for the most part) are definitely a lot nicer than the places I used to stay.
I guess I'll stick to day rides going forward....

Don’t remember what my costs were in Europe in 2019. Have them somewhere. Never been concerned with the cost; just the experience.

I'm looking to head up this summer from Colorado. Probably camping quite a bit, at least that's the plan
