I live in Dublin and it warms my little heart seeing people excited about visiting Ireland!! When you’re in Dublin I highly recommend the bookshops Books Upstairs (super close to the main shopping street and has a cafe upstairs looking out onto Dublin), the Winding Stair (super small, on the quays, the staff is lovely), and Chapters (huuuuge bookshop with a whole floor of secondhand books). Hodges Figgis is also great but I saw you already have it planned so thought I’d throw out some others. Hope you have a lovely trip!! 💚
omg hi! Ireland has been on my bucket list for so long and everyone I meet from there is so wonderful! Thank you for the insights (you're such a legend for that)--big HUGS!!
Dubliner here. The Last Bookshop (which has a secret cafe in the back) is also a gem on Camden Street, along with its many charity stores that sell secondhand books. There's also the Secret Bookstore on Wickow Street, a personal favourite of mine. Ulysses Rare Books and First Editions are also great. I wrote two crime books (The Lemon Man & Murder on the Dodder) both set in Dublin, which mention all the streets, pubs, historical sites, and hidden locations. Enjoy your Irish visit and dirty ol' Dublin! P.S. Great Channel, keep it up :)
Dubliner here! You'll be glad to hear they have non alcoholic guinness at the guinness storehouse (and in many pubs in Ireland) ! I would highly recommend Trinity College to see the book of kells and soak in the atmosphere in the centre of town (Sally Rooney, Oscar Wilde, Samuel Becket and many others studied so there so it has a rich history). Also recommend the Henrietta Street museum. In terms of bookshops I recommend Books Upstairs and the winding stairs bookshop. Have fun!
Ana...i work in Cashel...!!!!!!!..😂😂 as i pump diesel into my car...... and grab a quick turkey wrap in the garage ( the garage is just below the castle...its where i stop to get my lunch for work)...i look up to the beautiful castle.....you will have a wonderful holiday.....your plan sounds great ...enjoy ❤
For your group read on the trip you might consider Joyce’s The Dubliners because there will be so many spots you can see in Dublin. Your guide at the beginning of the trip I am sure can point out bridges etc you’ll want to remember as you read The Dubliners, and then when you return there at the end of your trip you can revisit those locations. Very readable. Seeing the other comments you might need to plan in an event to meet up with your Irish fans 😉
Noted!! You're amazing! Thank you so much. Ireland is such a rich place and the people are so wonderful! Grew up with an irish family and they were the greatest ever
Oh my god I am from Kerry! This is so exciting, you have planned the perfect Ireland itinerary. I hope you get the chance to stop in Dingle when you're doing the ring of Kerry tour. It's a quaint little town and a Gaeltacht (irish speaking region) with beautiful views - I recommend the pub Dick Macks. Also, when you're in Killarney make sure to go to Reidy's as it's such a cool pub with live music but also great food during the day. There's also a place called The Grand in Killarney that does folk music every night during the summer. Two of the most famous authors from Kerry are John B. Keane and Brendan Kennelly. I hope you have an amazing time 💚💛
Happy birthday Ana!! So excited for you! I’ve always loved your videos and your personality. Ireland has always been a place I wanted to go. I wish I could come with! Excited to see the upcoming videos! Love from another Capricorn ❤
Hello Anna, will you be doing something like this next year? I am going to two countries already in 2025 hahah. Finland and Turkey. I would love to do a trip like this 2026. ❤️
hey ana! happy birthday! I am already from Ireland and I love the rock of cashel in particular. is there any way I (or other irish people) could meet (& greet/meetup) at any point when you are here? also killarney is beautiful! the Muckross house and the Torc waterfall are lovely to see if you get a chance!
Was also wondering the same! (Could be good feedback for the platform organising the trip, to allow different payment tiers so folks already living in the location can join in if you decide to arrange a meet-up or allow a bigger group for one of the outings ☺️)
thank you!!! I think if I can arrange a little pub meetup in dublin for anybody that wants to come say hi and make other literary friends, it might be a good way to meet in the middle :-)
Once people begin booking, I can see who they are/where they’re from, etc., and as the trip progresses a chat is involved and (maybe even an email chain) we can begin chatting with one another there!
They can accommodate vegan meals that are included in the Trova package - it’s worth noting that there are less options available for the non-included meals especially when we go to more remote areas, so you might need to do shopping etc to make sure you can find what you’re looking for!
Happy Birthday Ana!!! 🎂🎂 I wish I could come to the trip but I'll silently cry with my Turkish passport and my turkish lira if you'll excuse me... 🥲 Have fun! The trip plan looks so good! I hope everyone will have a good time! 🙏
@@AnaWallaceJohnson I have so many tips for Turkey, just post an update when you're coming, I'll send out all the tips and do's and don'ts, I got you! ❤
