5 million views, awesome! Maidens cover of UFOs Doctor Doctor. Yes, Blaze sings on this. I do not own any of the content in this video, it belongs to Iron Maiden and their record company.
I never thought I'd hear such a famous band as Maiden doing such a great cover one of my all time favorite songs. UFO was so influential on so many people. Michael Schenker will always be my favorite guitarist.
Donington park 2016, maiden on the book of souls tour, I was there and when we heard that over the speakers we all went crazy even though the ground was soaking, but we didn't care. Everytime I listen to it now I get that same rush
I took my sons who were 17 and 9 at the time to see Maiden and as soon as this song started playing the atmosphere was incredible and they were hooked. Incredible time. Up the Irons
I feel like Bruce set the bar of expectation way too high, plus his voice just didn't fit many Bruce-era songs. I enjoy his Maiden songs myself and can listen to them all day. But listening to the older songs with him live left me disappointed.
Same. When I was at the show in Mansfield MA last year. I was so pumped that this came on. Cause not only is it a good cover, but that’s when you know they’re about to come on
Fantastic cover. Maiden is clearly making a solid tribute to their musical roots here, but also interpreting the song in their own way. I like Blaze's vocals on this one as well. Outstanding!
+Mak Muk Well, that's your taste. As I said I like Blaze's vocals on this track and its fantastic to hear this song with the kind of production it deserves.
I LOVE this song, the thrill, excitement and the chill down your spine, the waiting is over....you´r hit by a freight train from behind as the guys come on stage...and NOBODY sing this better than Blaze, NOBODY....
This time last year I was center stage first to the barrier with my younger brother, at my second maiden concert ever. My first show I was in the stands it was great but I told myself after that that I would be one of those guys front row in all the maiden DVD's. A dream of mine lived out in real life. This song brings me back to those first moments when I knew I was about to experience greatness up close and personal and holy shit did I ever. Greatest heavy metal band and performers that has ever and will ever live. I'll never forget it. Oh and I caught a pick!
What many seem to forget, or simply just dont know: This was part of their (planned) 2nd double single release of the X-Factor album. The first one was "Man on the Edge" and was released as a "double single" with 3 songs per disc and one half of a Blaze interview on each of them. The 2nd "only" came out as a normal single "Lord of the Flies", with *this cover* and The Whos "My Generation" X-Factor and Vitual XI are generally overlooked because of Blaze. This doesnt do him justice tho. Im a Maiden Fan since i was 5 years old (Dad played Killers & NotB for me in ´83 when i was 5 and "Fear" was my first self bought LP ever!) and listening to Maiden without Bruce was a shock at first. But the songs fit him and were still Maiden songs. He is/was a good singer! The only problem you can have with him is, he doesnt come close to Bruce´s Air Raid Siren voice and listening to songs from 83-93 with Blaze´s voice is just a no-go for anyone who heared them before him. I hated the concerts, at least the part where they didnt play "his" songs. The "DiAnno songs" were not as bad tho. He just tried too hard, wanting to reach heights his voice could never reach. Both trying and the voice itself are just natural things and i wont blame him for that. But he is not as bad as people want to make him. You should have another listen to those 2 albums. Its almost 20 years now that we got Bruce back and i see those 2 albums as a time to grow for all of them. And i think thats the reason they now open with this on tour before coming on stage. To honor Blaze´s work. Afterall, the reunion also brought Adrian back! A thing i overlooked myself for a long time, always thinking Dave was the best of them, but Adrian is the more skilled of the three ihmo. I love his melodic style more, but that might just be me growing up, learning about the things i "only" listened to since i was "that big" ;) If only i could be as awesome as my dad, women these days seem to not appreciate teaching their kids good music taste, im still looking for one :D UP THE IRONS from Austria

God, its been a rough year. I miss going to an iron maiden gig, chatting with my friends and other maiden fans. Then all of a sudden, the lights go out and all of a sudden... that iconic synth riff. God i miss that.
I wasn’t expecting this to be from the Blaze Bayley era, but goodness, did they do this song justice. Ever since hearing them reveal their set to this song, I could imagine them playing it. Well, here it is! 👍🤘🏻

Great song. One of my favorite bands covering one of my other favorite bands. As for those who are saying UFO are "just hard rock", learn your heavy metal history. Saw Maiden last night in Helsinki, Finland. This was the intro song from track before the band came to the stage. Great cover, awesome gig with classic songs, the best band ever. Up the irons!
Great rendition of "Doctor, Doctor"! Steve Harris was so influenced by Pete Way, bassist for UFO, even down to the spandex pants back in the earlier 80's tour days!!! I had the honor to meet Iron Maiden on June 23, 1988 on the "Seventh Tour of a Seventh Tour" at the Rosemont Horizon, in Rosemont, IL, outside Chicago!!! I've been a HUGE IRON MAIDEN FAN since my first show at ChicagoFest on Navy Pier in 1982 for the "Beast on the Road" tour. Also, have been A HUGE UFO FAN forever and had the honored to say I met Michael Schenker recently and I couldn't even speak! UP-THE-IRONS!!!!
Awesome! I saw that tour when they came through VA/DC/MD when they played the Cap Centre. trying to remember the opener. Think it was Frehleys Comet at our show. Can't wait to see them next July at Jiffy Lube in VA!!! UP THE IRONS!!!

Well, now I´ve been there, to the first show in London, first to the barrier, and I surely would have been grateful for a Doctor, I left soaking wet, squashed and totally blown away.....the show, their performances lifted the ROOF, and despite the pain and bruises, NOTHING could EVER keep me away........I WILL be there again !!!!

I'm just finding out there was Iron Maiden without Bruce, and as much as I adore him, he couldn't have pulled this song off as good. The melodic beautiful voice here gives so much strength with so much subtlety. What a fantastic cover, man, my ears are in delight
+VultureClone sometimes the cover is better than the original. I must say, Creed's Eightteen is quite a lot heavier than Alice Cooper's. but when sticking to Iron Maiden: have you ever compared Maiden's Women in uniform to the original ? :)
No way! I didn't know they covered this. I remember UFO binging it out back in the days to the New wave of British Heavy Metal. Headbanged muchly to this!!

Scott Woods u what? There is no denying that both di’anno and bayley are great singers, but the vocal range of bruce is so much greater and makes their songs more melodic and greater in the bigger picture.
Yes, I was at the April 6th show in Chicago and it was incredible!!! I've been a HUGE UFO FAN FOREVER!!! I even had the honor to meet Michael Schenker. In addition, I met Iron Maiden back in 1988 on the "Seventh Tour of a Seventh Tour" at the Rosemont Horizon on June 23, 1988 in Rosemont, IL, outside Chicago. NO words can EVER describe the feelings of hearing this, when you´r waiting for the guys to enter the stage... and that´s exactly what I´ll be doing in Chile 2019....just can´t wait....
i don't know what just happened... i've been listening to Maiden and UFO for a long time now and i've seen maiden live 4 times, and this is the first time i hear this version... should i shame myself? (I FUCKING LOVE THIS VERSION BTW)
What a band, throw in any singer, this band will produce a classic song for the ages of ages. Iron maiden please, keep on rocking, and rolling out tunes is what we do!, Living and producing hits is what we do!
I want to their concert in Greece this summer and I remember just before they came to the stage this song played and everyone thought they were already on the stage so they started screaming🤣 Such a funny moment I will always remember!
I never thought I'd hear such a famous band as Maiden doing such a great cover one of my all time favorite songs. UFO was so influential on so many people. Michael Schenker will always be my favorite guitarist.
Robin singing this is heaven
if im not mistaken UFO would open for iron maiden alot so it makes sense

Rick Canyon i was there too. Waysted opened for Maiden.
Que vocal maravilhoso do Blaze
They kept it so true to the original UFO sound! UFO should have been more massive!
Great !!!!!!! Excellent Tribute to the one of the greaters band like U.F.O Thanks Iron Maiden ...............
Leia a descrição do video :)
Seen both bands Live.....a few times.....Absolutely AMAZING ❤
maiden opened many of there shows with this song as the intro
many?? all!
Doctor doctor, please
Don't ypu know I'm goin' fast
Doctor doctor, please oh, the mess I'm in
She walked up to me and really stole my heart
And then she started to take my body apart
Livin' lovin' I'm on the run
So far away from you
Livin' lovin' I'm on the run
So far away from you
Doctor doctor, please
Don't ypu know, I'm goin' fast
Doctor doctor, please, Don't ypu know, I'm goin' fast
It's only just a moment
She's turning paranoid
That's not a situation for a nervous boy
Doctor doctor, please
Don't ypu know, I'm goin' fast
Doctor doctor, please oh, the mess I'm in
But you look so angry as I crawled across your floor
She's got the strength, and I just can't take any more
Livin' lovin' I'm on the run
So far away from you
Livin' lovin' I'm on the run
So far away from you
Oooh! I'm on the run
YPU YPU YPU YPU YPU YPU YPU YPU YPU...
Martin Mahn Attack of the Grammar Nazi lol
Neil Pickett Written by a German in German - It translates not very well think I !! Scorpions had similar probs but did well too !!
Sergey Popov u have a mistake my friend... its : "Living running *while on the run so far away from u"
Ypu guys should stop making fun of him. He did nothing to ypu
I'm just finding out there was Iron Maiden without Bruce, and as much as I adore him, he couldn't have pulled this song off as good. The melodic beautiful voice here gives so much strength with so much subtlety.
What a fantastic cover, man, my ears are in delight
I totally agree with you. Blaze's performance here is fantastic. He had a god voice, it just happened that Maiden's songs weren't made for him.
When you hear the beginning of this song at a venue you know the Maiden is about to blow the doors off the building
Best cover of Doctor Doctor Ive ever heard yet (:
I don't usually like covers over originals, but in this case I do.
+VultureClone cause maiden is doing it! try out 'cross eyed mary'!!! your welcome!
+VultureClone sometimes the cover is better than the original. I must say, Creed's Eightteen is quite a lot heavier than Alice Cooper's. but when sticking to Iron Maiden: have you ever compared Maiden's Women in uniform to the original ? :)
+Hans Brinkhof Creed's Eighteen? Rolling on the Floor DYING
+VultureClone Everything that comes from Maidens is better!
+VultureClone Shut the hell up bitch
This is the begining of great and awesome nights listening to the most perfect and exciting live show you can ever attend, an Iron Maiden live show.
No way! I didn't know they covered this. I remember UFO binging it out back in the days to the New wave of British Heavy Metal. Headbanged muchly to this!!
Really such a simple, guttural, punchy bass line, its awesome
I love this band so much with all my heart 💝
The voice of Bruce always makes me happy 🌺
The lead singer here is Blaze, not Bruce
What a bloody great cover! Mind implosion
Great song!!!
Long time forgotten and a 16 year old girl reminded me, "ey - come play Doctor Doctor from Maiden"
Wow - flash back
I really love Bruce, but damn guys, Blaze is amazing!
They both suck balls compared to Paul. Get a life...
Scott Woods u what? There is no denying that both di’anno and bayley are great singers, but the vocal range of bruce is so much greater and makes their songs more melodic and greater in the bigger picture.
@@scottwoods6419 smells like a fanboy stucked in the past, maiden is good with all the 3 singers, but bruce is te best one
@@Haxebaxe yep
@@scottwoods6419 what's Paul doing now? I'm sure hes selling out stadiums worldwide...
First song at my first IRON MAIDEN concert 🤘🏻🤘🏻
One of the best days of my life

copyright to be put simply
one of the best cover songs ever made.
great song from ufo and this moment when they play it or maiden cocnert is playing and you know rock is gonna start
Steve Harris was so influenced by Pete Way, right down the the spandex pants!!! Great rendition of "Doctor, Doctor"!!!
NO words can EVER describe the feelings of hearing this, when you´r waiting for the guys to enter the stage... and that´s exactly what I´ll be doing in Chile 2019....just can´t wait....
I remember being on this video in 2011 when I was a kid cos I loved this song. I used to put it full blast on the speakers

!!! Depuis 1982 pour moi !! j'avais 12 ans !!! THANK YOU !!!!!
I just love that the first introduction I´ve got to an Iron Maiden show was sung by BLAZE.....a coincidence, I don´t think so !!!!
Não há som melhor !! E difícilmente haverá igualavel 👌👌!!
One of the best covers I've heard of this song
Porto Alegre 2019 estava lá curtindo os maiores da história do rock in roll

I want to their concert in Greece this summer and I remember just before they came to the stage this song played and everyone thought they were already on the stage so they started screaming🤣 Such a funny moment I will always remember!
uno de los mejores. Y por suerte pude verlos en vivo !
