I know its against the spirit of umineko but if beatrice died away from Battler's presence (like of course he would try to save her) either after he got to an island or something, i wonder how different ange's life would have been if he "survived"
He probably wouldn't have bought it if she said she was waiting for the next boat.
Hell, if Ikuko called an ambulance as soon as she found him and checked him into a proper hospital, someone would have probably figured his identity out soon enough for him to accept battler's memories as his own. He's 18, in japan you're considered a child until you're 20, he would have probably been cross checked against a missing childrens registry. Considering his lungs were probably full of water damage/the location he appeared/his age/eva survived, you'd think somebody would have figured it out and wondered if he was a survivor. Also the explosion would have been recent. I'm surprised Ikuko didn't wonder about it herself, if he was related to the explosion disaster. I'm also surprised she didn't recognize his face from the TV/newspapers. His sprite shows no disfigurement or anything. My man didn't get to finish highschool or go to college ):
Also imagine if a 30 something man found an almost dead underage teenage girl and said 'lol I'll bribe the doctor and keep you in my house' I feel like it wouldn't go over as well 😭
Eva and Ange dealing with amnesiac suicidal Battler could be pretty depressing though so maybe this was for the best

finished the VN long time ago and just read the manga a while ago. Was there a part in VN where they stated that Yasu/Sayo/Shannon cant bear children? Feel like ive seen that before in the VN when i read the manga but i forgot if it was also in the vn or not
IIRC, Sayo cries out that they have a "body that cannot love" in a flashback to them being told what happened to their body in EP7. I think it's during the red flashbacks when Clair is being executed. Whether this means Sayo's body is infertile, has the wrong gonads to bear a child, or they're straight up unable to have sex and therefore cannot possibly have a child is up for debate, but the message is pretty clear, even outside of that moment.
It's because Sayo was designated male at birth, but the incident damaged her genitals and she had to undergo gender reassignment surgery to survive, so she doesn't have a womb and can't bear children

If you’ll connect together those who are in the City of Books (sans Ange, Erika, and EVA), Featherine is Ikuko who’s living an isolated life writing novel manuscripts that were only left in her library. Battler is Tohya who can and at the same time cannot remember the full details of the Rokkenjima incident (which resulted with the eight episodes overall), and Bernkastel is pretty much Ikuko’s cat who hates Tohya/Battler’s guts.
@@pidgeadlawan6136 I want to add something, featherine is not just ikuko but also tohya, both are the writers of most of the manuscripts only ikuko is the recognizable face while tohya is the true soul behind.

Ange was born in 1980, and the epilogue takes place in the 2020s (presumably) so I'd say she'd be in her 40s. The age gap between her and her brother is 12 years, so Tohya would be in his 50s by that time.
