    For anyone thinking about outlaying the money for a MF104-M, maybe instead buy a Moog Matriarch. You'd get stereo analog delay made by Moog, with all the bells and whistles, along with an entire synthesizer, for about the same money.

      Moog should still be producing and selling the Moogerfooger range of pedals; no real reason to stop. I guess the Behringer will be for the rest of us... or at least for me to add to the moogerfoogers I have... the second hard market prices on the originals is nutz

      @@StevenClements There are some odd parts from NASA's surplus in the Foogers, once the stockpile was exhausted, well, you may have to cannibalize a Space Shuttle or go into orbit to steal these from a satellite... If Moog was still able to make this gear, believe me, they'd do, but, if you want to re-introduce some obsolete parts, you need an order of 100,000, or you're the NASA and will pay as much for a batch of a few hundreds custom ones... Dunlop had AC128 germanium transistors reintroduced as they needed it for the Fuzz-Face, Roland can absolutely pass an order of 100,000 parts, Moog is a small company, they don't have such a mass of sales, there are just a few hundreds MF-104 around, you know...

    Hi Starsky. Did you gae a look inside? I consider stuffing multiple stompboxes into an 1U rack enclosure, using Alpha 9mm pots so no need for a pedalboard and... I don't feel like dismantling my two MF-104Z, actually, I have the full Fooger collection (bought end 00's) with the delay in double, but when it comes to the guitar sound, I just need the phaser, the ClusterFlux and the two delays for stereo purposes, the goal is to stuff everything into a SKB RLX-6 flycase: the Triaxis, the Marshall EL84-20/20, Lexicon MPX-G2, Eventide Eclipse and since, in the faceplate of an 1U rack, you can stuff a good hundred of 9mm sized pots, deport the commands there : such enclosure has room for 3 layers of PCB so you can really stuff a full pedalboard's circuits...
    I already did such thing when I was in a Pink Floyd cover band about 15 years ago, then sold the rack to my "successor", but I'd better look for knowing more about the circuits : there are things which re-casing is impossible, e.g stompboxes with vacuum tubes...
    Another point with a Fooger collection: you need the Doepfer MCV24 MIDI-to-CV, so it takes 1U more of rack... If I h=just stuff the MF-103 an the MF-108M, the ClusterFlux has the MIDI, the phaser can be ploted by the MP-201 MoogPedal, and I don't really need to go Klaus Schulze with the guitar system

    I had the Moog. I use it for guitar and for my work it did not perform. I change the guitar volume frequently either by the guitar controls or by adding overdrive or fuzz. I was constantly overloading the Moog and getting a red-light. It was most annoying. I eventually sold it. I have the DM-1 and I am enjoying it. It does not do everything, but I have other delays for a full pallet of sounds. Is it better than my Panther Cub V2? It's different.

    • @Haroun-El-Poussah
      @Haroun-El-Poussah 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Behrinfer uses Cool Audio BBDs, they're similar except they work in 9 Volts instead of 18 Volts, so tey have a lower bandwidth... If you want real MN300x, you can absolutely order a batch... of 100,000 parts, Roland can, and actually, Roland is a division of either Panasonix or Matsushita and both are electronic parts producers... There are often "custom" ICs in Boss/Roland gear, e.a you won't find the Boss HM-2's AOps on the market, that's why there's nothing else to make the Swedish Chainsaw sound...

      I had a Matriarch. The stereo BBD delay was OK, but very dark (there is a brightness control, accessible via system settings mode, but it was still dark, even with that turned on). I DID like the 'offset' control on the L/R delay times on the Matriarch. But overall, I don't think it is nearly as versatile as the MF104 or the Boss DM 101 for external instruments.
