    Watch as I make my Samurai Bedroom Side Tables out of Cherry and Walnut hardwood. I am more than happy with how they turned out. What do you think?

    The Samurai videos are one of my biggest sources of inspiration to get into woodworking. Now I have a 2 car garage full of tools and making my first workbench with some beautiful joinery!

    Your use of a flush trim bit to finish the through mortise is absolutely brilliant. More than 25 years of woodworking and an engineering degree here and I never thought of that. I learn an amazing amount from your videos!! I hope you keep going on making more of them.

    Love the tables. Its great to see just how many different things you can use the router for. Not necessary to buy every tool under the sun to make a great project; just getting it done.

    Sooo beautiful! And I love that there are other woodworkers out there who make a mess with sawdust in their shop too. I would love to have a dust collection system, but I cannot seem to find the time between projects to build one. Great job.

    Every three-fingered woodworker I know said "I did that for 20 years with no problem!" while they were on their way to the emergency room with a Ziploc full of meat and ice in their lap. Free-handing tenons with no push block or riving knife is exactly how that sort of thing happens. Sorry, I never leave comments like this. And I have a lot of respect for you and your work. But when tens of thousands of people watch a video, the chances of someone getting the wrong idea and being seriously hurt are real. None of us want that on our conscience. Please do a TH-cam search for "Table Saw Kickback" and see what can happen to yourself or your viewers.

    • @danpryde5503
      @danpryde5503 5 ปีที่แล้ว +14

      Stumpy Nubs dude, when that second tenon cheek detached, there could only have been a 2-3 millimetres of timber remaining in contact with the clearance plate. Imagine the mess if that was to drop into the cavity directly beside the saw blade. Yikes. Scary stuff. Made me feel ill watching that bit.

    • @donaldstallman954

    • @BrianTimmonsTX
      @BrianTimmonsTX 5 ปีที่แล้ว +12

      Agreed, one thousand percent! When I saw that moment, I paused the video and looked below to see if anyone had commented on how outrageously dangerous that was. Thanks to Stumpy for saying it. And mad respect for you, Samurai, but that was horrifying to watch.

    • @rickcimino743
      @rickcimino743 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

Looking at your videos and seeing, through fast motion editing, how quickly the projects come together can be challenging when it takes us hours/days to complete a project. Thanks for your help on this, and of course, keep up the fearless work!

    Hands down to one of the woodworkers/youtubers. 1 thing I like abt your method is less "fancy" jigs in your work (just raw, dirty shop, straight forward, chisels and mallet, pullsaws, and yet accurate - that's how a woodworker is suppose to be😁).
    And hey, tell us more about the "knife shapelike" chisel you used in this video. I think I fell in love with that thing already.
