On a large scale, I always enjoyed a lot the absolute contrast between the chromatism of the prelude (developed in a very coherent spirit) and the diatonism of the fugue, also developed in a vary coherent spirit, but here this is a result of the fugue rules themselves. Perhaps not the greatest PF, but one of the most appealing. It could have been inspired by Bruhns' "great" PF in E minor, which is probably the most noticeable of this composer who died prematurely.This being noted, did JSB need actually an example?
Lots of H. organs out there. I have several sample groups. Takes LOTS of PC power (mine has 64G of RAM. Dan does a good job and sounds super! Thanks for posting.
Wieder jemand der bach versteht u.barock musik spielt wie es im stil richtig ist....und vor allem keine effekt hascherei ..bach ist nichts hinzu zu fügen...ist auskomponiert und ist alles am blatt notiert was der komponist wollte..leider kann man nicht sagen wie bach gespielt hat..aber es ist sicher nahe am original...TOLL

Definitely "NOT boring"! Echo that. Intense rhythmic energy. Had to listen to it 3x in a row.

Wie wohltuend, dass beim Orgelpunkt nicht gleich ein Zungenregister nervbohrend röhrt oder plärrt - der Ton breitet sich von ganz alleine aus.
Ich muss Ihnen zustimmen. Bei vielen Aufnahmen sind die Pedalzungen zu stark. Hier perfekt registriert.
