As Nintendo really doesn't like anything being emulated by anything, PlayStation doesn't care much, but it's coming. Money is money, and our time of "free stuff" is coming to an end, so get those ROMs downloaded soon as people. 😊
I had no idea that's how you could back up your physical PSP games. That's so incredibly easy! Thanks. ✌️ I get the feeling Sony is going to start removing PSP ISOs from ROM sites now that they're porting PSP games onto the PS5.
Thanks for watching! I sure hope they don't. There's years of preservation work that's going into making those repositories that Sony themselves has not made available. It'd be a shame to see them taken down without a real effort by Sony to do them first party. Either way, we're taking matters into our own hands. :)
Hi Sarah! So nice to see you here. Proud to see your channel growing and it's great to see you helping so many content creators on their own journeys. Keep on keepin' on; you're making a difference on this platform and in the lives of others. :)
Great video but quick question, I just got a new psp with cfw, but I don't have an usb cable for it. I ordered a new memory stick for it, can I just connect my memory stick to my pc and move any iso there to play those games or do I need to order an usb cable. Thanks
Hi, and welcome to the PSP fam! You'll need the USB cable. It allows the PSP to mount the UMD drive (disc drive) as a memory card of sorts. That way, you can drag and drop the single file (.iso) on those discs onto your PC. You can absolutely also insert your Memory Stick Pro Duo into an adapter and move content to it that way also if you;d like. I think they cap out at about 20 megabytes per second of read speed (not sure about write) but since you already have the USB cable at that point, makes sense just to mount the MSPD with the PSP as the card reader. Enjoy that new PSP!
Thanks! Someone gave me the copy of the movie on the condition that I agreed to watch it, as I'd never seen it. Turned out to be good advice and a generous give. :)
hi great video but I have a huge question, I use vimm's lair to download the games But it doesn't show up on my games? The file I downloaded from vimm's doesn't say iso either. What do you recommend me to do and what wbesite do you use to download games
hey Blaine! great tutorial as usual, if i put cfw on an original memory stick (4gb) but buy the sd card adapter, wat are the steps needed to do when i get the new one without the cfw on it?
Thanks! It'll be super easy. Just connect your PSP over USB and back up the contents. Copy over the backed up contents to your microSD and you're good to go.
@@blainelocklair oh cool didn't know if the two apps I used on it like overwrote the internal flash or something or if it's all on the card like a emulation handheld
Awesome! Well, kinda. There's an app that will let you dump them right on the PSP. However, you have to have a way to connect the PSP over USB and copy the downloaded file to the Memory Stick. So you end up right back on having a PC. At that point, just as easy to just drag and drop. :)
Is there an app for psp homebrew that allows you to choose from the library to install like there is on the 3DS? I can get my games already but this would be far more convenient
These days, nobody is ever going to give you their locations. This is one thing that any person experienced with these types of things is going to keep to themselves.
Do you mean when you connect to Windows over USB? Make sure the device setting in the VSH (Virtual Shell menu) is set to "UMD". Then go back and connect to your PC over USB. Might have to manually open File Explorer / Windows Explorer to see the drive mounted in "This PC".
It's kinda hard to say. The Big N has been attacking ROM sites for months now. Recently, other companies, such as Sega, have also joined in. The best bet we all have is to make our own backups. No one can take those away from us.
Might not be able to back up PSP games this way, but Linux is awesome. Incredible product and an incredible spirit of users and devs surrounding it, yourself included. :)
I'm betting you have a PSP 1000. It's been a day since I've had the 1000 model. I forgot that USB charging was introduced from the 2000 model onward. No worries, though: the 1000 model is just as awesome as the others, and you can absolutely do all of this without USB charging. It's a really good idea, though, to be plugged in with the A/C adapter while backing up the games, just in case. :)

No doubt. Definitely get the content you want while it's out there.
The Hackers will always find ways to get into anything imo

Hi! I don't have any discs to insert. Can I just do this without the disc? Without the backing up maybe?
I have a question. Can you play iso game files from memory card without softmodding?
from where can i get the iso games
How can I play downloaded ROMs on PSP 3000 using a micro SD adapter? Do I need to install CFW?
Yes. It's super easy, though. Check out my video to get it all set up: th-cam.com/video/6tI1jiLvnWA/w-d-xo.html
Please help i downloaded a video in iso and uploaded it and i cant open it i mean tge option in iso video mount works but i doesnt upload the video
Can someone help why does the menu not pop up when I press select

where can i download umds so i can load them on my psp ?
You have to own the UMD first

Awesome! Glad you were here to watch and hope you enjoyed it. :)
But how do I get the games?
Watch the video to find out!
Why i cant unzip the iso files!?
i dont have the game sharing icon (i have a E1004)

So they are basically banning ISO

Can you put the ISO files into subfolders (i.e. ISO>A/B/C/etc.)?
I don't think so, only the movies are meant to go into a subfolder as I understand it.
Ion see the “usb charge”

If you needs to play games without discs on PlayStation Portable. You can buy a go version you don't need to all these stuffs.
