I've never owned a psp, I just bought a second hand one off eBay but it has a crack on the screen and a few scratches on the back, so I need to put all the parts in the case. Hello. How come I can only see Ark Live after I run Ark by itself but when i try to CIPL download, the Ark in.my system settings isn't there anymore. It just says version 6.61
Looks like a really nice console. I guess there will be a range of retro gaming systems you can install onto it. I've not tried one out, but I did buy an R36 open source linux console that works great.
Great video! I am now at the last step and am stuck. I have games in bin and cue formats but can’t for the life of me get them to convert to ISO format. Do you know of an efficient way to have this done? Thank you!
can you switch the sd card once everything is installed if you want to upgrade storage? i bought a psp that came with an sd card with everything but its only 8 gb and i think i want to get a 128 gb, if i cant switch it out then i might just delete the games i have once im done with them and then just download more.

It depends on how far you got with the hack. You'll probably need to run chronoswitch - github.com/DaveeFTW/Chronoswitch - to take it back to the original firmware.
Did you put the iso game files into an ISO folder. ARK uses that as the default location for games. If that's all OK make sure your iso files and valid.

From memory I think it can take up to 1TB but please check. Even that is probably a bit of overkill but I guess it depends on what you want to put onto the system.

I had to update the software first and it wouldn't let me connect to my wifi security, so I had to use no security for a few minutes, I didn't like that! lol
Vimms Lair was until very recently a very good place for these files, but Nontendo, etc. have forced them to remove a lot of games. Also try the Internet Archive.
Make sure your PSP is running the latest version of ARK and that you are installing the new version of cIPL (check the video on how to do this). If it doesn't work just redo the whole hacking process.

This didn't work for me I put the game in the ISO file on the psp and it doesn't appear, this is M.A.C.H which i just ripped using the psp.
It's worth trying another download version of the iso file in case it's corrupted in some way.

The games I’m trying to download off vimms lair are not a file how do I get them in a file
They are probably in an archive file. You'll need a package like 7-zip to open them to get the files you want.

I think you can just copy all the files over to the new sd card.

Yes. It all works as if you had the real game disk plugged in.

I don't know about the internal storage. I would tend to use the SD card approach and just leave that in the machine.
ARK_cIPL: Works on every retail model (1K, 2K, 3K, Go and Street).

No. Unfortunately the Sony memory stick is a different physical size so you'll need to buy an adapter.

I think there's an upper limit to the size of the memory stick (64GB??). You can put on as many games as it will take.

You can play the discs as normal in the UMB drive. ISO files are out there on the web. Vimms Lair and the Internet Archive are good starting points.
