Recloser is pretty self explanatory but some details of them would be nice besides the original "three times and then its open" which normally happens in older circuits. Maybe t and D could show more beyond the testing vid. There is great info of new technology with these videos. There is definitely some in-depth details that are lacking.. Perhaps they dont want to share information for fear of reprisal. Most vids dont have comments, let alone views. Who knows? Burns and MCdonnel may not want to do more then say there name?
A recloser attempts to correct a fault in the power grid. After it faults out 3 times it goes to an open circuit and basically "blows the fuse" on the grid. They are designed to try to avoid a crew coming out to fix the problem.
It’s basically an automatic resseting breaker It just tries to reset a set number of times if there is an overcurrent or fault To there is no need for a crew to go out to reset it if it is just a minor fault which fixes itself
