    I can say from experience that it's a lot easier to watch these videos than to do job! Thanks for continuing to share your experience. I wish I'd known the spackle knife trick to protect the drywall before I forcefully removed a built-in desk. I'll know for next time and at least I got some patching experience!

    Thanks very much brother, that was very detailed and clear instructions from you. I only wish it was as easy to do as it seems with you doing and explaining the why's and hows. Very great video. Now to get my old water damaged vanity out and put a new one in.

    Wow, great tutorial!
    And I say this because I just did this same job last weekend and filmed a tutorial that I thought was in depth.
    Great work!

    Wow! You are an amazing teacher! Thank you for this video.
    I just have a couple of questions:
    1. When you were tightening the nut it looked like you were moving the wrench to the left. Is that because the video made it look that way even though you tightened the screw on the door moving the screwdriver to the right.
    2. I plan to replace my basement bathroom sink with a utility sink. Do you have a video that could help me with that?
    Again, I have never seen anyone explain something as clearly as you did. Thank you so much!

    Thank you for posting this! When at the hardware store what O-ring do I look for to replace please? What do I ask them for? At 19:31 in your video. Thank you for your time.

      They are called Poly Washer 1-1/2 or 1-1/4 . Any big box store will have them. I would recommend taking the old one with you to match up to the new one. Thanks for watching.

    Probably a dumb question..but, if the vanity I'm looking at, the top/counter has like a 1/4" overhang on both sides..to make it flush to the side wall, do I literally just offset the top by that 1/4"? (so the left side is flush against the side wall, and now the right side has an overhang by 1/2"?)

      Just so you know there is no such thing as a dumb question. Yes that is the way I did it. Thanks for watching.

    Having my vanity/sink {they are one, cultured marble) taken out and replaced. They don't do the pluming so I will do it. In the past, I did the install the same day so I didn't cap anything off. That said, being there will be a a few days, should I put the trap back on if I take it off and add water to prevent the possibility of gas/stink?

    • @getitdonehomerepair
      @getitdonehomerepair  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes for sure . If the sink and p trap are left off for any time you will get the smell of sewer gas.

    Is it necessary to replace the metal rings that were around the water lines, if the water lines Come through the floor instead of coming through the wall?

    • @getitdonehomerepair
      @getitdonehomerepair  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I would replace the metal ring just to avoid any leaks.Thanks for watching.

    how to install a bathroom vanity if the water supply for hot and cold come from the left side and go in to the wall the old vanity does not have a back panel and the side has a cut to allow the pips to get though the one we have is falling apart it made out of particle board and it got wet and now it's just warping falling apart like crazy it getting ready to beak and drop then sink it self making the hole thing to buckle and the pips for the and the sewer pipes are metal and they won't undo won't unscrew
