In the MV for this song, Mayu runs up several flights of stairs of a coastal observation platform. When they played it live at Budokan, she ran from side to side of the huge stage. A tiny person with scary amounts of energy. As well as kicking ass in an epic band, Mayu and and Tamu, the drummer, both have young kids. Superheroes don't wear capes: they sing and play drums.
Boy, I clicked on that one fast. I just got home from work after a frustrating morning, and I needed the boost. 'Zen' would be a great follow-up, in spite of the name, it's a face melter.
These girls know how to bring the heat 🤘🏻🔥🤘🏻🔥🤘🏻🔥 There is a great video on YT of the girls doing a comparison video while doing Journey's Seperate Ways. Reall cool 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻 I've always said No 2 Knee-mo-phila
Yeah the vibe you get is about right for the lyrics. The whole song is basically a way of saying "LETS FU**ING GOOOOO!!!!!" I think it's the second pronunciation. It's an English word for a type of flower. The first bit is usually pronounced "nemo" like the once missing fish, and the second part "phila" is pronounced something like the kind of person one might avoid at a party due to them having poor physical boundaries, "feeler" So it's basically missing fish party weirdo flower.
Damn, I didn’t think another Japanese band could ever even come close to topping Band-Maid for me. These ladies are really trying though. Each time I listen to them I like them more.🔥🤘🏻🤘🏻😎
Japanese romaji spelt exactly like its should phonetically and as per your question, the No.2 pronunciation in romaji would be spelt as NI ...and thus No.1 pronunciation is correct since they use E instead of I. When Japanese use roman characters (romaji), its just explain how its sound and its always very precise phonetically because normally they use hirgana, katakana and kanji... so there's no other reference of how roman characters combination would sounds like and treat all characters at face value as per character, forget about the combination etc. For example the A vowel sounds is (a) and that's it.. unlike English where it change sounds (as it please 😂) that includes (a) like in father, or (e) in say, or (æ) in mad, and (ə) like first A in bazaar. For Japanese, A sounds is always (a) like in father. Not complicated at all, unlike English pronunciation of BANANA, depending on accent, changes for every A! Japanese would simply read that as B(a)N(a)N(a), same A sounds throughout since its the same character. Make more sense right? ... with that beings said, for the next NEMOPHILA reaction, check out ADABANA.. would love to hear how you pronounce it 🤭 and yes, the track is brutal! Have a nice day 🤘🏻
Thanks for the lesson. That was quite helpful. I'll probably still pronounce it wrong though cause I'm naturally blonde. 🤦♀️ More Nemophila to come though so stay tuned. 🍻👋🇦🇺
@@SwiftReactions and i forgot to spell the word NEMOPHILA for you but as usual, use the phonetic sound of E as æ (A in sAy) ..NAY-MO-FEE-LA ...and yes I in romaji always read as EE. The vocalist name is mayu, which some pronounce it as may-you but the correct one is (remember a in father) MAH-YOU.
You're checking off some all-female Japanese rock and metal boxes here with Nemophila and Band-Maid, but you're missing out on one of the best bands on the planet, Lovebites (not that Nemo and BM aren't in that category too). I recommend their latest live video, "Soldier Stands Solitarily". You might also enjoy Hanabie. (Ha-na-bee-A), and I recommend starting with "We Love Sweets".
Can I recommend Lovebites ? Another Japanese female metal band… amazing EVERYTHING! Try “Holy War(live)” or “The Hammer Of Wrath (live)” to start. You’ll love them. 🤘🎸🐺
Nice reaction! Fantastic band! Try another :Lovebites, an all female metal band from Japan. Some songs to show the musicality of the band: "Swan Song" with the Chopin piano intro th-cam.com/video/dcMVtrvpJpk/w-d-xo.html ; "Hammer of Wrath" th-cam.com/video/pHrWRT0Jeac/w-d-xo.html ; "Edge of the World" th-cam.com/video/jQKf8Dy_chA/w-d-xo.html begins as a ballad but progress to much faster. so so, you like happy crowds?...aha....than i have something special for you 😁if you want to see a "happy" crowd,,,,,hmmm....lets say ~85000 people and there all so happy , they sing the sing for the band and all having a blast....YOU HAVE to check out "blind guardian the bard song + valhalla" in wacken 2016. it was in my 45 years the BEST moment in my life
It is Nemophila (as spelled) with en e sound, i.e. like in enter. Of course, English speaking people pronounce e as i, like in eagle. But that is wrong, Nemophila is with an e, not an i. I remember a sketch by a comedian called Iglesias. The I in the beginning shall be pronounced as an i, like in Eagle. The receptionist of an hotel strongly maintained that it should then be spelled as Eglesias. But that is then pronounced with an e, as in enter. Which is wrong. English spelling rules are weird. But, Iglesias is a Spanish name and thus spelled right.
@@SwiftReactions I know you stay pretty busy doing reactions. When you have time, please check out Angelina Jordan singing, IF I WERE A BOY a cappella rendition. she also has a new song “Bad Valentine”, written for her with Toby Gad
