This just helps cement necro's place as the beginner-friendly style. With darkness, ghost, invention perks and tank gear, you were already damn-near unkillable.
The conjure is honestly pretty decent. Defensive updates are just looked down upon in rs3 with how heavily focused the player base is on dps over defense.
the best defense is a good offense! But really I do think this new conjure is solid for the niche that necro has, which imo is critical in enhancing the new player experience and helping get them into pvm sooner. I still don't think this will make necro the best combat style, but tbh it doesn't have to be.
I'm an iron and the ectoplasm is a non issue these days. Sure I'd be upset if they hadn't added the ecto ritual but a few hours of those rituals gets me weeks, if not months of ecto. I agree that it's "boring", but not bad. It's just the nature of content geared towards defense. Like you said, it's just an extra bit that essentially costs nothing to use. It's hard to be mad at saving a few pieces of food.

Little boring command but the dmg reduction helps a lot more than what ppl think. I am happy with the conjure
