Just FYI, Milwaukee has a long history in the US, even back before WWII. Of course, they are owned by a holding company now, and they do not make everything in the US. That being said, they have several manufacturing facilities still in the US, with I believe three of those in Mississippi. They have an enormous facility under construction in North Central Mississippi right off of Interstate 55. I drive past it pretty often.

Try Fenix headlamps/flashlights. They're rechargeable, but also use swappable batteries. Plus they use USB-C, which is great.
I have TBG (Tactical Baby Gear) carrier and backpack. Son is 5 now so I don't use the carrier obviously, but I still rock my "diaper bag" that has a spot for a plate inside. Love it.

(Long post about jacket suggestions incoming, well mostly pockets:)
As far as jackets go I lean toward traditional materials, so I’d suggest making a waxed canvas with a wool lining.
Maybe make the lining removable for laundering/warmer weather?
Also, I find sleeve pockets very useful and they add a nice flare to the style!
If it were me I’d put a Field Notes-size zipper pocket with a front panel that could hold a pen, pencil (carpenter size?), and small flashlight/mini ruler.
Or have the zipper pocket on one sleeve and the other stuff on the opposite with a snap-over flap.
Double chest snap-over pockets always look good on waxed canvas too, maybe with at least one side-zipping pocket behind them as long as it was designed so as to not affect water resistance.
One final note: if you do make a sleeve pocket, consider having it zip down to close and having the zipper 1/4 inch away from the edge of the pocket.
It’ll stay closed better and is easier to open by grabbing the cuff to stiffen the sleeve (I hope that made sense?).
It’ll also help keep things in the pocket as you close it because your whole hand will be in the way of stuff falling out and
that 1/4 inch of pocket behind the zipper will act as a kind of flap to help hold things in too.

Potential nalgene replacement is the Owala, that's what my wife uses because she doesn't like plastic. Same cap style as the OTF but better. I still like nalgene because they're so durable and the measurement is handy for camping.

Jacket suggestion! Please utilize Lamilite or Climashield insulation. Absolutely no polyester; nylon, ripstop nylon, or canvas outer. I love the pass through pockets for access to your appendix carry. You remember the old Integrity base jacket in that Kryptek snake camo? It’s leagues above in quality over the new Integrity base liner jackets. It was better insulated and fit better, the material was tougher and the fleece side panels were higher quality.

Yeah, that all revolves around markets that I have no interest in promoting (ie finance, luxury travel, etc). Most of those people's jobs also revolve around email marketing as well. They basically make a living out of jipping people out of money that are either also trying to get rich quick, or spending way too much money on stuff they shouldn't be (which is why the companies can afford to pay the lucrative commissions).
Long story short - it's basically scamming people and profiting off of it. Not a traditional scam, but pretty sleazy still, imo.
