One thing I'll add is that depending on your equipped armor, weapon & gourd soaks, you should build around the effects those give. Really starts making your character op with certain attack combinations.
In chapter three I took down the pagoda boss with using pluck of many then immobilize because that increases pluck of many damage plus they give u focus I took out over three quarters of his life in 20 secs no new game plus my build would destroy his but it took me experimenting to figure it out
One thing I have done differently is that, after playing with the survival tree for a bit, I ended up ignoring it in favor of filling other things like the stamina tree, the smash stance, or immobilize. The difference putting points there didn't feel beneficial as opposed to, say, vigor check in Elden Ring, but more importantly, I had a bunch of mind cores, and finally unlocked making celestial pills towards the end of chapter 2. So I intend to put sparks into the survival skills later as opposed to now.
Fully agree, the survival tree is NOT impactful compared to the stamina tree, I think the improved dodge and the ability to keep your combo through dodging one of the most important early game mechanics! You get more bang for your buck getting the stamina tree filled out and the immobilize skill tree since they are thew most impactful against bosses. Immobilize also allowing you to survive some hits that would normally take out a good chunk of your health bar! Well said
@@JasonDunnathat’s wild cuz I put ALL my points into Immobilize, Pluck of Many and Survival… with four points on the stamina tree until about Chapter 4 and feel like I did really well with that. Didn’t have to mix it up until Chapter 5 but I just farmed for points to put in other things. Until chapter 5 I didn’t have Pillar or Thrust stance and only had one point of focus the entire time lol
Black Myth: Wukong is absolutely breathtaking! The game’s visuals are a feast for the eyes, with its lush environments and intricate character designs. The use of Unreal Engine 5 really shines through, making every scene look like a work of art.
Quick question - I am on my first gameplay and I farmed to reach level 150 but my attack is still 117 equipping mythical staff. Anyone knows why that is the case?
I found pluck of many falling off hard for value wise mid to late game, most of the bosses have big sweeping AOE attacks and irratic movement that derps them out, ring of fire was crucial late game i souly used that and I crushed bosses with it
In the show buddah put a crown on monkey kings head so that a monk could follow him around and keep him out of trouble if monkey king was bad the monk could shrink the crown and it would hurt him
Great guide bro, well explained, very helpful thanks!😮😊
So glad you found it useful!
Have an awesome day
@JasonDunna thanks mate, you too!

Oh yeah totally true. I like the gourd that gives Mana for more immobilizes
Something to note too is that once you hit level 60 ish you can start respecing into your specific builds
Yes very true!
Thanks for sending the video and I love the fact that we took a very similar path when starting and changed up towards the end.
The starting path is probably the best way to do it so you can take down the first few bosses a bit easier!

That boss is pretty tricky

Go to the Flats in chapter 2 and you can farm the shield guys for cores
@@SunniMerlot I’ve been thinking about doing this worth doing is it?

Thanks to you advice on the skill tree I have beaten the y wind sage finally to get out of chapter 2
@@Ukfogman82 congrats! That boss is a pain to deal with so good job on taking it down.
Happy you found the video useful

Every scene truly is a work of art. I’m blown away constantly by this game, it’s incredible!
Thanks man

Your level just gives you more skill points unfortunately
I use the bronze monkey set the apiprima bat spirit and spam immobilize and mobile staff spin so I can hit level 4 smash stance heavies
Soliddddd. Immobilize is so good it’s sometimes not worth using other spells so you have more mana
Also love the profile picture
I found pluck of many falling off hard for value wise mid to late game, most of the bosses have big sweeping AOE attacks and irratic movement that derps them out, ring of fire was crucial late game i souly used that and I crushed bosses with it
Yea the pluck of many costing so much mana compared to the damage output you get compared to other spells makes it less desirable
In the show buddah put a crown on monkey kings head so that a monk could follow him around and keep him out of trouble if monkey king was bad the monk could shrink the crown and it would hurt him
I think that comes into play a bit later on in the game!
I’m level 25 and can’t find any builds for my level…can’t make it past vanguard in ch. 2 tho
Those fights are hard, get comfortable with dodge rolling towards the boss
After I beat Yin Tiger I’m making a new build I’m mad that I changed my first one but there’s nothing I can do to beat this dude 😂🙏🏾🤷🏾♂️
The tiger is really hard honestly, I got a guide on it to make it a bit easier

Wear serpent armor, he goes off agro a lot and you literally just chill and heal back half your health bar
Is there only one other gourd to upgrade?
There are more gourds later on in the game but the base one seems to be the best for most instances
@@JasonDunna yea but I don’t wanna upgrade the gourd that gives the dublicates health. All the others I have aren’t legendary.
I fill my sparks up the same way I took my SAT test. Probably why I had to go marines.🥵
Hahaha that was clever. What part of the game are you at?

You have to progress a bit further to update the staff
