I have had this Bernina B830 for several years now and have been using it for almost exclusively for 15" x 10" large Embroidery designs with about 23 million stitches so far. But despite my extensive use of this machine, I always find difficult to load the bobbin. Why? Because for regular sewing and quilting you just put the bobbin into the bobbin case and close the door, and the machine is ready. But for Embroidery, is a little different- you have to be sure the bobbin thread goes through a very small flange in the bobbin holder so the embroidery stitch holds correctly. If you don't do that correctly, the Embroidery stitches will fail to catch. And that is cumbersome coz I also have a Brother, and to do large multi-color embroidery designs, I just drop the bobbin and that's it, but for the Bernina you have to be sure. The way I have been able to minimize that is by using 80wt thread from OESD into that gigantic bobbin, of which I have about 50. In that fashion I don't have to waste my time being sure I threaded that bobbin correctly coz that bobbin will have enough thread for almost 240K stitches with that 80 wt thread, instead of just 40k stitches with a regular size bobbin and 40wt thread. But asides of that, that machine is a WORKHORSE, just look at the amount of stitches on it so far!!!! Highly Recommended!!!!!!
I have two Berninas and one is a Limited Edition 830, it is an AMAZING machine!!! Berninas are by far the best machines I have ever used! They are LOVELY 🥰
I have had a Bernina 1031 since 1993 and it is a powerhouse. I have been a professional seamstress for over 45 years, and since I bought that 1031 in 1993, I wouldn't even consider any other brand of sewing machine. I also have a 1530, two Artista 180s, and I just bought an 830 LE. I also was gifted a Husqvarna/Viking embroidery machine. While it is nice enough, it is nothing like the Berninas. I am looking forward to having a good time with the 830 LE, although I will still use the other machines. Mine stay set up and each gets used almost daily. Every one has a different quality of their own. I love them all.
I have a Bernina 830 LE. I love my machine. Nice features on the pro but my 830 has the needle threader and lots more. I have a laser pointer attachment for my machine but I would go for the pro if I didn't already own 2 machines. Babylock ellisimo which has the camera and laser. This pro would definitely be on my list if I was looking for a new machine.

Overthetop ... i will never recomend that thing... By a smal mashin and go dinner.... you spend the money better.
