I was thinking about this yesterday ffs ...now here it is 😂 my first head gasket in 5 to ten years ..story short is i got a split head cyl 2exh. Side and while i was levelling the head thougjt damn is the block the same shape 😂 also there is no meat on these now and an extra plate could support
So in both cases in which I have done these 1/2" studs I have just ran them down to the same depth. I did realize after that the studs I got from Tick are shorter and the studs from BTR are longer and therefore should be ran down even further per their website. briantooleyracing.com/media/wysiwyg/1-2hsk.PNG shows the studs being about 3" below the deck surface.

what application is that for as I'm not familiar with it?
He just curious what you pull your half inch head studs down to?? compared to the normal head studs cheers

Shame they didn't use a roll tap instead of a cutting tap. Would make for stronger threads and not produce any chips.
