I love that the fitness advice isn't even bad, like there is a real effort for beginner fitness while also doing the ARG. This was a classic and super formative for me growing up and watching a break down of it is wild all these years later

The calm before the storm.
One thing about this series I loved was the idea of these chucklefucks stumbling ass-first into supernatural danger. It's kind of my favorite basis for a supernatural horror/suspense series and it kept me hooked for a while.
Unfortunately, I finally fell off the bandwagon, but it was a good run. They did some real interesting stuff and I look forward to you commenting on it all.

52:14 is honestly a super underappreciated trope. Its a really well executed jumpscare. The door opens too quickly after the knock. Someone is immediately there, with a face covering (a symbolic one at that) so that they are not immediately identifyable. Its dark, which in itself is a jarring condition for answering the door. There are multiple visual draws, the main taped figure, in the foreground, and then an enigmatic, indiscernable figure in the background. If you focus on one, you might miss the other because its so quick, but you still get a sense of the other. It makes you rewind to watch it again.
I really hope this all ends with them conquering the Slenderman then continuing making their workout videos

Evan/HABIT is my favorite character in the entire Slenderverse. For one, Evan literally tried to attack Slenderman with a BASEBALL BAT. Not to mention the fact that when The Rake killed Jessie, he literally burst into the house and *THREW THE RAKE OUT OF A F'ING WINDOW*. HOW?!?!?!
Not to mention the fact that HABIT is the best character ever, and literally calls Slenderman 'The Big Bad Stick-in-the-Mud'. XD XD

Hear me out: an ARG in which the people keep saying it isn’t an ARG, causing the audience to go on a real world hunt/game series/discovery to determine if it is an ARG. When you reach the end, there’s a hidden camera somewhere above or near you, displaying your face but constantly smiling on a monitor. Above the monitor, it says “it was never an ARG” but crypted in something like Morse or Base.

This is why I failed to follow EMH while it was happening. Way too many sources to follow: TH-cams, Twitters, Blogs, forum posts... At least with Marble Hornets it was just two YT channels and a Twitter. And I knew about the second channel because back then they had a video response system.

It’s so interesting coming back to this after reading House of Leaves and Nick’s videos on it. Everyman Hybrid is its own labyrinth with its own Minotaur haunting it and it’s not the Minotaur you would expect. These creators were way ahead of their time.
