Errata: At 6:47 in the video, the AI mistranslated "reuse Indians". I originally meant to have Indians in important positions, but due to the problem of polyphonic Chinese characters, the AI mistranslated it, which may cause some confusion but does not affect the understanding of the video. I did not redo it because the video had already been uploaded when I found out. Sorry again.

Indian CEOs are good at cost cutting, replacing highly paid employees with cheap Indian labour throughout the entire organization. This results in huge savings in salary cost thereby boosts profits for the initial years. Over time, the entrepreneurial nature of the Company is being compromised by mediocre performance up failing to coup with changes Worse, fault lines creeps in to destroy the Company credibility and critical assurances, Apples and Boeing are good example of sad victims but the blame lies with their top Management who have soft ears to sweet words of Indian sleek oratory.

Many Companies that moved to India have moved back to China. Because India has very poor quality control, people are careless in manufacturing and produce less. Indians talk, whereas the Chinese work hard and produce excellent-quality products. Indians just want to be superior and they want the big money. they don't worry about the company's reputation.

I was working in SG while the "contractors/developers" team located in India.... I still felt angry to this day that I had to rewrite codes for several projects within 2~3 days so we could answer to our customers. Because the code they made was trash... Mind you, I gave them complete documentations (req.spec, design spec, data mapping spec). Even during discussion, I gave them flow chart diagram complete with examples of output files.... 😠
Out of 5 people, only 1 that was good and I was even thinking to help her to become permanent and not contractor, but she changed company only after 1 year. Good thing I left the company already..😁

My former employer was an international shipping service provider in Shanghai and we had a Chinese customer who was carrying out infrasturcture construction projects in Nepal so they needed to ship all the heavy machineries and building materials from China to Nepal. Since Nepal was a landlocked country and we shipped their materials from Shanghai port in China to Kolkata port in India first and then transferred to inland truck transports into Nepal from India. We cooperated with an Indian local shipping company for the second stage of the trip, they gave us strong convincement about their capabilities to carry out the job and we signed the commercial contract. When the materials arrived in Kolktata port, they had no capabilities of picking them up but they didn't tell us timely, they lied to us that their fleets of vehicles were all occupied and it would just take a few days to free them. We waited and waited, it became a long delay lasting several weeks, incurring substantial demurrages in the port. Our customer's projects were significantly impacted and we lost tremendous amounts of money in settling the costs. I flew to Kolkata ready to sue that company and what was more eye-opening was many Indian lawyers were scammers themselves, they just charged money without getting things down and the wait for Indian court to handle the case was forever, also they were leaning towards local companies against foreign companies, so this issue was still not settled when I left the company.

In 2005, I was promoted to be a manager, taking over an IT Infrastructure support team, and had an Indian Sr. Unix Support Engineer working for me. During the first month of maintenance schedule at night, he called me up and told me that his server was not able to 'mount' a directory to the finance system. After I investigated and found out that the mount command in the startup file was not included and asked him to add it in. He in-turn asked me how? OMG, I could not believe that a high paying Sr. Unix Support Engineer does not know the basic Unix's mount command. Next morning, I asked the x-manager of how this incompetence guy got this Sr. level job. I was told he claimed that he has a Master in CS degree and has 3+ years working with HPUX. With little investigation, I found out that his MS degree is from India and his 3+ years experience was a first level phone support engineer for HP in India as well. Not sure if it was fake or real, but we couldn't validate it. And he did not stated the details experience in his resume. He bragged to me that he came to US with his wife, who was working under H1B visa and later converted to a green card. Anyhow, at the end he realized that I caught onto his lies and so he then tried to look for a job at another company (NetApp) as a Storage Engineer QA. He had a big gut and not afraid to lie. He asked me that if anyone called from NetApp, to tell them that he worked as a Storage Engineer under me. OMG!!! I bluntly told him that I couldn't lie, and couldn't be of any referrals for him, and that he should be honest because wherever he goes, one day the lie will caught up to him. He didn't seem to care or afraid. He said America is a land of opportunity, everyone lies on the resume, and if he got hired, the company would be giving him trainings anyway.

It's partly due to the caste system where the upper-castes are seen as genetically smarter than the rest. Many talented Indians are nipped in the bud because of their caste(lower) or region.
There was an upper-caste cricketer called Sunil Gavaskar who was glorified as a wonder-boy and known as "the Indian Bradman". But fact was that he needed several more matches to even get close to Bradman's record. It was a different matter that Bradman was generous enough to congratulate him. It was also the time when the Indian cricket team was regularly losing matches and the occasional victories looking more like flukes. But nevertheless our Indian media continued singing the praises of such upper-caste players.

I had been working with the top US consulting firms and mutual funds company for 34 years as an IT Chief consultant. The majority of American managers don't know too much about IT. So they have to hire someone who is born in China or India. The majority of Chinese engineers are educated in Chinese colleges and then educated in America graduate schools. Chinese philosophy is to stay humble, keep low profile, not to bragging about yourself. The majority of India engineers came from India directly in the past fifteen years. Most of them used the fake documents to get into the top companies. They could not perform well. Unfortunately the majority of American managers love sugar coating words. The ending results are obvious.

An irony since during British rule, English was largely the language of a limited few, similar to other colonies in the wider region where the language of the colonizers never gained widespread use.
An amusing part was that while the political-economic establishment would object to these H1B-equivalents being labelled as white collar cheap labor, it somehow implied that job prospects were so good for homegrown locals that these locals would not want to take up these positions.
The reality was that across various economies that experienced significant growth during the Cold War, the decision-making was done by post-WW2 boomers or their equivalent contemporaries. They had good career growth without having to worry about global job competition from 1950 to the early 1990s.
Once they gained money, power and status, they largely assumed the next 2 homegrown generations would have such a good time that bringing in the H1Bs would not have -ve effects.

Multiple exceptions suppressed every second it ran. Imagine code like this running while people are in a metal tube 40,000 feet up in the sky.

Sheikh Hasina, regarded as an Indian puppet, was ousted by the Bangladeshi people, which upset India. Birds hit planes all the time. Modern planes are built to account for birds crashing into them and causing no damage. Looks like there was a problem with the internal reading versus what actually happened - this is, the cockpit reading showed landing gear being down, but in actuality, it wasn't. That run way was way too short for a belly landing - especially when there was a barrier at the end. I don't think pilots would risk all and try to do a belly landing, when they can see a barrier at the end of the run way (they would find another "Long" run way with no barriers at the end). Its more likely they thought the landing gear was down (based on cockpit readings) when it wasn't down.

Indian CEOs who shown the way for cheap labor for their salary hike (cost cutting by layoff & move job to cheap don't need billion dollar paid Indian CEOs , a 2nd standard student can take this decision, owners need to think), now Wallstreet traders driving it further for quarterly earning ( I don't who gave authority to these guys to set earning expectations)
So it needs 2 fixes, greedy owners & Wallstreet need to change and 2) western mentality CEOs needed to drive the world class companies in its world class way.
Indians ruled by western world, so western bosses can still rule the Indian CEOs but won't go in that smooth way with Chinese - they prefer to be own boss - so western bosses comfortable with Indian CEOs.
All are still in hands Western owners & Wallstreet. No need to blame Indians only.

My bet is the next few new iPhone will also have minor small incremental improvement as India receive more shares of contact assembly in the future.

However, I have a simple question: why do these large companies' executives make the decision to appoint immigrants as CEOs or presidents? In my view, the executives of these corporations bear responsibility for such hiring decisions. Additionally, I am aware that some Indian professionals tend to exaggerate their résumés.

Since Satya took over, not only did the acquisitions have gone up(LinkedIn, Github, Activision Blizzard, etc), but the stock price has jumped to over $400.
