- In my sewing room I show the last of my ignored Stash Winter fabrics that have now made some lovely garments! I used both of the fabrics in the end and I love the results.

I loved this idea from the beginning. I need to do this just to get rid of some stuff. I don't have a wheel, but I will use numbers 1-6 and roll a dice. Thanks again for this great idea.

Whoop, whoop another magic dress! I’ve got another one of those planned too, Carole, to use up some stretch fabric. We know it’s a winner so why not! They look so different in different fabrics.

If something works....don't fix it eh?! I have never been disappointed in that pattern and there was no point trying something else was there. As you say, they all look different and I made the longer length sleeve this time which I actually prefer now my arms are aging a little 🤣. Have a great weekend and thanks for your comment😊🎄

The top and the dress look beautiful on yo. While the dress may not be a print you wouldn’t normally gravitate to, it looks absolutely beautiful on you and IMHO, the pattern was the perfect one for the print. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Don't you feel better?😄 My husband loves to buy those mystery boxes from online fabric stores which wouldn't be so bad if they were fabrics that either one of us can use. Unfortunately I end up being the one who tries to figure out ways to use the fabric because it takes up space for fabrics I want in my supply. I'm trying to work through some denim and I don't really like wearing denim unless it's well broke in and soft. The other fabrics are usually bright bold colors or pastels, neither of which I wear. Looking forward to the next round where you use up some summery fabrics.
Oh I really do feel better, yes! A nice chunk of space now for more fabric 🤣. How funny that your hubby orders Mystery boxes, I take it that he sews as well then? I did get a couple of mystery boxes once from Minerva, honestly one had crazy fabric in like a sort of dancewear fabric. Needless to say that fabric has never been used 🤣. I am with you on the denim, why does it always have to be so crisp and new looking with even colouring, I would love to make a pair of jeans that didn't look homemade and were comfy, Sounds like you need to get some fabric dye on those other pieces. YAY!!!!!!! 🎉 So very, very happy that your last 2 makes turned out better than expected! Your "magic dress" is very pretty! Who would have thought?!? Your NL6435 top is really, really cute paired with leggings and boots! I've never seen that NL pattern mentioned before on any of the other YT sewing channels I follow, so that was a great pattern to see made up. 🥰 Hope you're winding down on your Christmas sewing projects and ready to enjoy some time off! I've finished my microwave mat gift sets and now working on the matching coaster sets, which shouldn't take more than a couple of days to complete. Hugs! xx ❣
Thanks Dori, isn't it crazy how all along I held up that flowery fabric and pulled an awful face and yet it has turned out to be my favourite piece out of all 6!! Re the New Look top pattern, it came out in 2016 so is strange that no one else shows it, obviously VivMom has but that goes without saying as her style is my style!! I was winding down the projects until my daughter begged me at the weekend to make a dress for her for a party on Friday... full on panic as I had to order the fabric! I don't recall Vivmom showing a NL6435 top in any of her vlogs. May have to go back and look. I so miss her videos! Have to assume she got burned out from years of daily sewing, which is easily understandable. Then, she got her new dog and her life has new purpose. 🥰 I have 2 dogs and they let me have time to myself before demanding that I finish and give them love and attention. As for your question re: what I will do with my time next week, I've been working on switching over to Jen's pattern storage method. Almost done. What's taking so long is filing the patterns into the binders. I'm trying to arrange the sheet protector pages so that similar patterns are together. I have A LOT of patterns... waaaaaay too many! 🤪@@socarole66
@@SewAndTellwithDori I may be wrong but it's either her or Stephanie as they were my to go to channels before I found Jen. I also use her system and I love it! It's like having your own tailored counter books! I keep in touch with Viv every now and again and yes, as you say she has a very different lifestyle now which I think she needed after the children grew up. Our dog is very old now but he is hanging in there ! He still loves the long walks but sleeps the rest of the time 🤣😘
Found it!! Her January 2020 makes and wow she had some good ones in there. I watch them over and over as I loved those videos. 👏🏼

Carole, On the New Look 6650, did you place the self tie a little higher than normal or do you attach as pattern suggests? It's a good look on you!
