I will never understand why this band is not more popular than it is. Justin's voice is so unique & reflects every emotion behind every song. The pain he has endured & shared made for some incredible songs & I for one am so thankful he decided to share that pain with us.
Theres some songs I just can't help but cry whether it's sad or happy. His voice has moved me my whole life. I got the change to see the band perform and it was touching. Cause most people don’t want to listen to sad depressing music once they become adults they want to be happy and listen to music that makes them happy. Havent really listened to blue October since i left my depression behind. I like this song though
I work at the San Antonio zoo, and I was working at the flamingo feeding station when I saw Justin walk by with his family. My breath caught in my throat! I wanted to say hi so bad. But he looked so happy with his family, I was just happy to see him happy. So I didn't say anything. Im so happy to see him smile so much lately. 😊

I listen to this song almost daily. It’s self lifting, and I adore how far he has come with his battles and struggles. People say a drug addict can’t change. I love this song and Blue October SO much. In 2020 my son who is an addict and alcoholic came to my home after 8 years of estrangement. He was armed with a 9MM, a shotgun and a knife. He attempted to kill me but fortunately I know martial arts and was able to control the situation. He was arrested. I listened to Hate Me on repeat fir the longest time. Then I discovered the newer stuff and saw the change in Justin and it gives me so much hope that one day my son will be healthy again. I listen to Fear everyday to remind myself to let go of the trauma and fear of the past. THANK YOU so much love to you.

Going through a rough couple days and having trouble remembering the feeling of a song being related to love -and- being happy, and then I heard this song, and saw this specific version of it. And I just played/watched it on repeat and danced around with a huge smile on my face for a while. It gave me a huge wave of joy and sweetness that I really needed!
My mother showed me this man. This beautiful deep creature. Yesterday I decided to start from the beginning, and listen to his first album, and am excited to piece together his life and cry along each album following. Unique individuals can often be difficult to find depending on the person looking and he is just so deep and easy to relate with, it is just a really pure feeling being able to listen and feel. She says she's seen him several times in concert with different family members to share that deep connection with them and cry etc. She told me just yesterday as well that she asked him to say a few words (some of his lyrics) and he was confused at first and then realized it was from a song he had written and giggled. Apparently he is a really nice guy. I can't wait till he visits AZ again for my opportunity to share all those emotions with her and stand in the crowd during it all. He really has gotten me through some dark times. Realizing so many things, and just getting to that selfless state of mind. Egoless. Unbiased. Just pure and raw and organic. This artist is completely special, and I get so excited to share the music with others whom haven't heard them yet. Manifest it all. Thank you for your mind.

My mom got me hooked a few years ago. I’m still a kid but have gone to their concerts. I brought my friend once and Justin got water on everyone, my friend said spit on me Justin 😂 to this day that was one of the few moments that can still make my face light up when I think about it. These are the songs my mom puts on when we’re in the kitchen dancing. These are the songs that bring happiness.
Not a big deal but I believe "Hate me" was released in 2006 and the song wasn't about himself. The song was about a young lady he owed to debt of gratitude towards. Although I love the new song as much as the first.

My 14 year old is finally with me. She has been kept from me her entire life, and now I can finally listen to this song with the same feeling and pride. It was a long fight, but she is safe finally. Now to save her sisters.
I'm 63 they've been my favorite band for a very long time. Finally took it off my bucket list and seen them live at The Egg in Albany with my 23 year old daughter

Blue October slipped inside my heart when Calling You became the second of Aric's and my love songs. Aric died in 2012 and I couldn't tolerate listening to your music, not initially. Eventually though, I could, and do. I'm glad I incorporated you back into my listening because if not, I'd miss a whole lot of wonderful music and videos. You know, I got to meet the whole Blue October band at the Warner’s Theatre in Fresno CA. I did security for them backstage, and man let me tell you, they’re are so awesome, sweet and down to earth. I got to personally shake each individuals hand and they called me by my name “Tristin”... I even got to take a photo with Justin. From seeing Justin with his wife and kids, man.. He loves his kids, he took his son with him to the tour bus to hangout while the other performances where taking place.. It was such an honor to meet Blue October, to take a photo with Justin, and to even get his autograph 🙏❤️

Not a big deal but I believe "Hate me" was released in 2006 and the song wasn't about himself.
The song was about a young lady he owed to debt of gratitude towards.
Although I love the new song as much as the first.
it's not the 10 years, it's the man who changed himself ;) both songs hold so much meaning

Blue October slipped inside my heart when Calling You became the second of Aric's and my love songs. Aric died in 2012 and I couldn't tolerate listening to your music, not initially. Eventually though, I could, and do. I'm glad I incorporated you back into my listening because if not, I'd miss a whole lot of wonderful music and videos. You know, I got to meet the whole Blue October band at the Warner’s Theatre in Fresno CA. I did security for them backstage, and man let me tell you, they’re are so awesome, sweet and down to earth. I got to personally shake each individuals hand and they called me by my name “Tristin”... I even got to take a photo with Justin. From seeing Justin with his wife and kids, man.. He loves his kids, he took his son with him to the tour bus to hangout while the other performances where taking place.. It was such an honor to meet Blue October, to take a photo with Justin, and to even get his autograph 🙏❤️
