- This soft spoken ASMR video is an exploration of the history of Persia and its ancient empires, from the emergence of civilization in what would become Iran, to the arrival of Iranian peoples, the kingdoms and empires they created (the Achaemenids, the Parthians, the Sassanians), until the Muslim Conquest of the 7th century.
I also tell you about Persian culture, language and architecture, the Greco-Persian wars and the rivalry with Rome and Byzantium, and many other aspects of Ancient Persia.

I damn near pulled over to take a nap and listen to this when I saw this was uploaded. Persia, Greece, Rome, Carthage, Byzantium, I could listen to your narrations about them on loop and not get tired of it.

I was among your first subscribers. I have been so impressed to see how your channel has grown and evolved into both a hobby and an income stream. You probably don't remember but I messaged you once back in 2014 or so. In the past year I have been getting into music creation, and seeing how you persevered and made a passion of yours into a full-blown project is admirable. I'd say you're up there with legendary history podcasts like History on Fire and Hardcore History, but you should try adding some opinion and analysis to the facts (just a suggestion :). Add flair like, "This leader made this decision, which if you think about, was pretty stupid because xyz". Sort of like your French lifestyle roleplay, a historical narrative with attitude. Just a suggestion!
Anyway just wanted to say I've been using your vids since 2014 to help me fall asleep and practice my french accent. My knowledge of history has benefited as well! Now that I am becoming a content creator, being a subscriber to you and seeing your creative journey is inspiring. Thanks for sticking with the channel and improving it.
Thanks. I am always interested in analysis and opinions about history and I have plenty of my own, but when it comes to my videos I try to remember that they should also put people to sleep. This is not going to happen if they are in a state of inner debate ;).
The other thing is that I make a new topic every 10 days or so. I am delusional enough to think that I can put together a fair overview with a smooth, logical presentation; but not enough to believe that my analysis on a topic I know superficially would bring that much value. I wish people kept that more in mind when they analyse history or politics online 😅.

I came here seeking comfort in a rough time in my life. I lost a loved one and attempted to overdose, which I did. I was terrified (and still am) that this night would be my last. My heart was racing and I couldn't calm down, but thanks to you sir I left here calm, more relaxed, and with a lot more mental clarity. I am still terrified that I might die, and I hope none of you guys do this, it isn't worth it, just keep dropping hints to friends and parents, they will find out someday I promise! I'd absolutely ADORE a history of the Safavids. The whole origin of the dynasty from a ghulat movement to imperial power is easily one of the most interesting bits of history in the early modern era.

Another awesome story! Although when you mentioned Zoroastrianism, my first thought was of Freddie Mercury and not ancient Persia! The bad dreams are mostly held at bay when I listen to your stories. I still have have a doozy every once in awhile but not nearly as much. I think it is because I am guided into sleep, listening to your soft voice, and thinking about something unrelated to my nightmares. Thank you for all that you do to help me and others.

I love history and I really enjoy these stories you tell so does my 2 year old when it's time for nap time or bed time we lay together and listen or watch till we're both out. I think is wonderful having him sorta learn about the history at such a young age Even if it's for sleep time thank you
