I remember watching a documentary on the case covered in Death on Ocean Boulevard. I haven’t read the book, but that’s a frustrating one. I didn’t care much for The Exorcist’s House either. It was just ok. Film CREW 🎥
I 100% agree on V. Castro. She has these great ideas and the stories are really interesting, but her writing is like a first draft just dropped onto the page to get the idea out.

i agree, there is something raw about her writing, but not in a way i particularly enjoy. unfortunately!
I love your shirt! V. Castro has a visceral, raw, in-your-face writing style. Her writing style doesn't always work for me, but it really clicked with me in The Haunting of Alejandra. On the other hand, it absolutely did not work for me in her latest book Immortal Pleasures.
It feels really hit or miss for me too! I probably wouldn’t have picked this up had it not been included in a past Night Worms package i received
