- In this bedtime story made to help you relax or fall asleep, I tell you the story of the crusades. Tonight with part 1, we take a look at the background, the reasons that triggered a first crusade, and how this first crusade turned out.

How the hell did you make this so interesting for me?? It couldn’t have been a less inviting topic for me and I just clicked on it for my dog to have background sounds and then I intended to switch to something else and fall asleep. BUT THEN you begin explaining that most media depictions are wrong and I got a little intrigued. AND THEN you explained the reasons so many people joined and I realized it made so much sense and then it got so extremely captivating that I had to hear the whole first part (on Spotify btw) and now I’m actually considering listening to the next Ort, but I am already so late for bed 😂. You Sir are incredible and I wish you would’ve been my History teacher back then. I would’ve had the time of my life and way better grades 😄

There was no such empire. The early Islamic empires were all west of India. Later Islamic empires were smaller.

I take alot longer to fall asleep than most people & by the time I'm starting to go out, the sounds start & wake me up more sometimes, but I absolutely love listening to these at night. Just would like to see them a bit longer/mashup
I did that already, if you look at the list of videos on my channel page you will find a 3 hours+ video released 3 weeks ago that combines the episodes about the crusades :)
