Today I try out a rarely seen fully stunted out 2018 Kawasaki Ninja 400 owned by IG: @608.loops. This bike has the sick orange and grey factory color scheme with crash cages, handbrake lever and brackets and even a mini stunt gas tank. I didn't know what to expect riding this little bike but it ended up impressing me by the time I finished riding it! #ninja400 #review #kawasaki

I love my 400, never dreamed it could drift or do donuts. I've been practicing my Wheelies but damn man, you just opened up a whole new world of possibilities.
The only issue with the ninja 400is it’s slow. Big boys like zx14r.

Almost any bike can wheelie man. And these starter parallel twins actually have a good bit of torque and can feel and be decently quick.
honestly just going +2 in the rear and -1 in the front for sprockets makes the ninja 400 accelerate like hell

I got this bike as a starter. I love it so far.
I have a 636 but I want to buy my old roommates 400 off him for a track bike. I underestimated the bike the first time I got on it, I’m a fan for sure.
when I get my cnc machine, im 100% going to get a 400 and develop parts. I've always wanted this bike.

Stunting out my 2020 Z400! Its pretty much the same bike, just a little more upright! I've got the Impaktech cages and the ezpull in shocker yellow. Pro Taper fuzion bars (henry/reed bend). Installing a handbrake setup soon (magura hc1, brembo p32, homemade aluminum bracket). just need to do the seats and the gas tank. and probably the clean air mod.. would also like to do the sprockets and chain soon. and then after its all stunted maybe have fun with some tuning options. its been a fun project! just gotta get gud now.. lol
exact bike i have, i got the glossy black with green stickers, plan on slowly stunting mine as i get the extra money to dump into it! mine recently got stolen and recovered so i have to buy a whole new ignition set, rear lock set, gas tank lock, few other random things, im just lucky to have it back. sits in my apartment for now.
Been doing wheelies for about a month on my ninja 400 and already need to rebuilt the top end. Have you had any issues like that?

It’s kinda sketchy because you have to be at such high rpm to pop it up, I go between 8.5-9k rpm just to get the front up a little.

ONLY reason I wouldnt run a stunted Ninja 400 is that it can't out run the cops, thats a deal breaker for me. top speed cant be more than 100-110mph after the stunt cages and bigger sprockets. GREAT VIDEO!!!
I mean, it probably isn't much over 110 with good exhaust and more favorable stock gearing, let alone with the added weight from the cage and the gearing change.
I’m topped out at 82mph with -1 up front and a 55 tooth in back. This bike stock hits like 110

@@Dankwheelie meanwhile my 6'5 cousin acts like he can't possibly fit on anything other than his Triumph rocket III or a gold wing with after market forward controls on both. His Triumph ate yet another clutch and we wanted him to ride with us anyway. We offered to put him on my brother's spare (a KTM 890 adv) or I was gonna let him ride either Z900 or HD 48 and he supposedly couldn't fit on any of the three to ride with us. Some tall dudes are straight up full of it.

You can do idle adjustments on the ninja 400. Also gearing should show , shows on my stunted ninja 400 anyways.
Stock clutch lever? The aftermarket lever on here removes the sensor that shows gearing.
Also we were able to give him an idle adjuster after tapping out the stock hole for a zx6r cable to fit👌
I have a impaktech clutch lever. The only thing that didn’t work after was starting the bike in 1st. Also yea for the idle a 636 works
@@jacobschmitt326 you need to splice the wire from the stock one together. or if you want it to look nice & have the option to go back to stock, get a 636 plug for it on thesicshop or somewhere. then itll start in 1st

Rookie question, but fuel injection has an idle screw as well?
The 400 does have an idle screw but it’s on the intake and can’t be accessed without pulling several parts off. Kawasakis larger bikes have a little knob which connects to their intake which allows for a much easier adjustment of the idle while stunting

that's odd about the idle screw... I used to have a ninja 300 and it had one, it was hidden under the seat kinda out of the way.

@@Dankwheelie we did. Still won’t even pop. It has 2 abs fuse. Took both out
@@Watah_nation671 other option is getting steel braided brake lines and swapping them straight to your caliper and master cylinders. That will bypass the ABS system for sure.

Ive been thinkin about getting into stunt riding but my only problem is how short I am at like 5ft3 or 4 with about a 28 inseam, and I've been thinkin about the ninja 400 but I am not sure if height matters in stunting lmao-

RSC exhaust can, they are discontinued.
