The Wingamm was sold in Italy for much, much less than the US price due to shipping. If they started making them in the US or Mexico, they could lower the cost to a much more affordable price and sell them like hotcakes. Use the Henry Ford way and make them affordable so everyone can get one.
Sorry It's not worth it for 190,000 USD, especially not utilizing a true battery/solar system. I thought they were going to be a middle class affordable option.
The trouble is that they do make the vans in Mexico, but they ship them to Italy to add the camper parts and then ship it back to the US. So it goes from a cool van you can buy in Europe, to an overpriced thing and the small size is not really a benefit here. I still like it, but every time I watch a video they have increased the price by thousands
ItsUS price makes it non competitive I the US. Way overpriced and under equipped. Unless it is made in the US it will never get a significant share of the market
One could argue that made in Italy is a big plus for Quality. Building them in the USA where we don’t care, and using the ‘Henry Ford way’ of faster production isn’t necessarily a good thing. 😊
I would ask you to consider some changes as you mature the model. 1) Remove propane. The propane locker could be used for housing lithium batteries and replace appliances with induction cooktop, 2 way refrigerator, etc. 2) Make cassette toilet optional and offer Laveo dry flush. I am a previous owner of an RV with cassette and I do not like it. 3) Make the swing bed arms longer on the upper bunk so that the bed lays lower and older owners are able to access without a ladder. Most buyers of this model will most likely be retirees. 4) Offer a lithium package with 3000W inverter, DC to DC charging, and at least 600AH or more of battery capacity.
Some newer vans have switched to heat and hot water running off the gas tank and switch to induction stove and a second alternator to charge the batteries, so propane is no longer needed. It will be nice when more are doing this along with the dry flush toilet eliminating the black tank and cassettes.
I agree, remove one tank and the existing stove top. I think one tank is required for the Trumacombi (heat hot water). Replace the existing cooktop with dual induction burners.
Agree and I would like a larger fridge that is not on the floor. I’m old and do not want to bend every time I need to use fridge. Rather smaller closet
I think the target audiences are: solo travelers, couples, those with a doodle dogs, those with modest sized driveways, new RVers that are intimidated by huge RVs, those who want beauty and not just function, those that like to see a lot of friends around the country but want a place to retreat to that has all their stuff, those who want their RV to look more like an office to work on the road (and not like a bedroom), those that like innovation, those don’t mind meeting new people, those that have adult kids that can share it, those that want to bless their friends by loaning it out, those that want to sleep more than 2, those that want to sleep only 2 but not next to each other, those that don’t want convert sofa and bed twice a day, those that want to spend all day at the park down the road but the weather is spotty, those that want to park in friends driveways without taking over.
Current Supply/Demand..... If they are ever able to get a steady flow the price will quickly reduce and reflect the Eu pricing.... otherwise sales will stall and it will fail.
@@robertdconner with the number of original people interested walking away and the prices increasing so much more than the original promise... the usual rv pricing models may no work.
Get rid of the curved counter, ditch one of the propane tanks or both for extra storage. Put solar system on it. Run heater off fuel tank. Natures head type of composting toilet.
Very very nice, except the useless use of lost space with a gas heather.... Sadly enough not diesel heather wich would give lots of extra storing space
They want way too much money now for this now, I thought they were going to be a middleclass affordable option. You can purchase a used version very much this one in Europe for 65K, but of course you cannot bring it back to the US.
Not affordable for most people and those people with money don't want something like this. Not sure who is the target market. For those with low budget, just buy a 2nd hand van and custom-build it yourself.
My wife has artificial knees. It would be nice if an elevating device could be created for getting up to the bed instead of a ladder that she cannot climb.
No mention whatsoever on two critical systems for use in the USA: house air conditioning and off-shore power. Do you understand the basics of our market?
I forget the technical term but yes in the USA composite materials have had a long and bad History of coming *"unglued from itself"* especially in the very diifcult weather in the Southeast and South/Texas very hot and humid weather. If this changes that that would indeed be a revolution as many in the USA are going back to aluminum which was the original material used back in the 1960s for ahem *#glamping* ahem, yes #gulfstream #airstream 😊😊😊😊😊
No, keep the propane! I am the motorhome expert (look me up). I agree add lithium and solar panels but DON’T use regular lithium, but lithium-iron batteries. You will thank me later.
You are the best , No one can do what you do guys ❤🎉
That is very impressive. I would like that same platform built on top of my short wheelbase F-150.

@Erin-Thor Still wayyyy overpriced, drop it at least 70 thousand, making it about $120,000, and then it "may" get looked at by the masses.
Absolutely ❤ Beautiful! Throw in a bigger refrigerator and I’m IN! 😊
Some of the longer models have a bigger fridge

For a lot of RV owners with dry flush toilets, they become secondary and used when campground toilets or public washrooms aren't available.
Beautiful. ❤
Very very nice I love it❤❤

Love it
Will go down as the Edsel of motorhomes
For $190k USD I won’t be seeing too many on US roads
Especially when you see their EU pricing. Magnitudes cheaper over there.

@@bernie.b that’s not how RV pricing works.

Since Covid all RV manufacturers took advantage and increased their prices 40-70% 😢
Please sell this pefect motorhome in Japan!

Beautiful styling ! But does this have a generator or air conditioner?

The refrigerator makes it a no go! Terrible otherwise like it but the refrigerator would be a deal breaker for us

No link so I can order one? WTF?
If you can't figure out how to order one without a link you probably can't afford it anyway.

A 2 foot long bed? Now that's tiny. No wonder this thing has been delayed for years. More vaporware
for that price i hope their van building skills far exceed their dubbing skills.
The price is ridiculous, and not include AWD! Mercedes class B is very close to the price of a Wingamm and much more desirable!!!
In U.S.A non si guida come gli inglesi
What is wrong with your video… the picture is de-saturated, use a professional camera!
Hard to believe there is no microwave or entertainment, no a/c, or generator . Pretty devoid of creature comforts for its price

Lithium Iron? Can you take the creases out of my trousers with it?
Add another $25,k for lithium. Sure
It does not look cozy
