They should a "pickup overseas and ship it home" like Mercedes & BMW used to. Buy it here, drive it in the EU for 2000km (?) and then have it shipped home as a used vehicle. That lowers the import duty MORE than the costs of the whole trip. Perfect for an RV!!

I have a few friends who did this about 10 years ago.... didn't even know it was a thing! They went to Germany and the car was delivered and sold there. Did photo shoots in the mountains with the car and everything. They said it was cheaper, and I'm like, how...
I guess no VAT, and no markup. But also shipping was a lot cheaper then I guess, especially when talking (at the time) $50k plus for the cars.
I've been watching Wingam models for a long time... it's great to know that finally it's now in the US..I heard about it a long time ago. I really love their design.

What will be the cost.
They are still not in the US. We heard it would be in 2022, then spring 2023, then end of summer 2023, and now 2024. It doesn’t instill a lot of confidence in the ability if the company to actually deliver.

Usually an RV this small feels claustrophobic, especially in the bathroom, but not this one. I was shocked at how spacious the bathroom feels. Really a great floor plan!

Love the bed. Don’t even have to make it, just throw it up and done. Absolutely love the table and it’s multi functional use and how easy it is.

Wingam is a phenomenal brand. Asian/European RV's are made extremely efficiently. I looked at a few of their RVs. The driving situated on the right was what always threw me. I even looked in to shipping options because they where all used but well taken care of.
That bed set-up is terrific.
Sweet integration. That bed absolutely makes killer use of the space!
I'd get rid of the propane and go all electric, lithium with dual alternators.
All electric not good for in floor heat. I like multi systems for back up reasons.
yeah, I don't want propane. I understand backup systems, but I think that can be done without use of propane. Otherwise, I LOVE this rig!

Since they are new here, in America, it was faster to make small necessary changes. I bet they will redesign this model to fit Vanlifer's desires. I was also disappointed about the water capacity, and they said nothing about the converter.
I saw it in Tampa. The little RV is complete with shower, bathroom, kitchen and we fell in love with all it's features. Because it is only almost 18 feet long it parks anywhere which great. I'm also familiar with this European brand too. The only thing stopping me from buying it is the steep price.

If they can get it down to the mid $80 k I will consider it for sure
The only thing I would probably change is to a dry flush toilet. Other than that for me this is awesome.
I'd use one that recirculates at the push of a button. My family had a Monomatic during the 1970s in our travel trailer. Same brand the big airlines used in their planes. It worked with an electric/12 volt motorized pump and optional blue disinfectant to kill the odors. Wondering if they're still being manufactured...

I was definitely surprised with this one.
They definitely did a great job packing in all of the essentials, and not feeling squeezed.
I'm not a fan of the Murphy, or drop down beds (only because I don't want to have to "make" the bed), that said, not at all turned off by the drop down bed.

“Wow!” is all I can say for that RV though! Super neat. I have wondered if it was possible to put a bed in the front like that, but I don't think I could have ever made it look that great!

They could probably do a custom paint job. BTW, walnut veneer on the cabinets and black leather upholstery would be really elegant.

That's actually pretty amazing. Excellent use of space and I really love the weight capacity of the main bed. Plus the compact wheelbase makes it look like it can navigate congested areas with ease.

Saw the 540 shoehorned into the tiniest parking space in a typical Italian village, it’s still roomier than my cousin’s apartment! 😂🇮🇹

One thing that might be handy with the drop-down bed in one of those side cabinets would be a water tap for a bedside cup. Especially if it temperature controlled to be chilled,. Some people might want to have breakfast in bed (Pastries or an instant oatmeal could be stored in the same cabinet) and have and we will also have a hot coffee or a tea with it.

The table and a bunch of other interesting components, are listed in Lippert’s European catalog. They even have the elevator beds!

Thanks for the nice video. I am interested but want to know more about the aspects and features of the engine, etc. it would be nice if the materials used for this RV have been described in the video, too. The floor plan is pretty cool.
I hope to have a much more personal video with the factory and where these are made in the upcoming months. So those questions will be answered. I also assume if you reach out to the dealer in the states they can break everything down for you more as well

It's all electric ... an electric vehicle not diesel or gasoline. For the US market they are thinking of changing it to a Grandmaster chassis and changing the stove to a propane stove. I saw this RV in a Tampa showroom and the Europeans really know how make something so small feel and look spacious.
This new rep Roy is so much nicer and professional than the previous representative Wingman had an almost 2 years ago.

Jared, do you think custom van companies in the States, like the ones that you do tours with, will start to offer a bed set up like this? It's so great to see a bed that comes down from the ceiling but that doesn't replace a bunch of cupboards that you need for storage.

It’s a very narrow bed for 2 adults. 51 inches wide.

Seen these before ... the person visiting an RV show loved but he was ~ 7' 😂 ('he' was interested; so hoping though!)
This is easy to drive (maintain).
Also, nice for people who commonly use hotels ... emergencies or off (no) schedule driving. Hwy station
Hurricane areas ... EMERGENCY LAST MINUTE EVACUATIONS - NO HOTELS AVAILABLE. OR POWER SOURCE AFTER HURRICANES ETC (wherever parked).
Tailgating ... if limited tickets purchased. Only 1-2 needed. But, take the family and or grandparent(s) too - to go inside the game ... then drive everyone home or to a hotel!
Perfect for adults (or small families) who love to regularly visit relatives who live 16+ hours away. Much more comfortable trip. Can pull over for any type bad weather and or optional divided trips. No hotel costs but, can eat and shower; if necessary. Or, vist other areas coming or going for half a day; or more, to break up the trip and stretch.
Camping or camp sites just got easier!
Hiking or beaches.
Also, a great alternative for those who travel all the time for work. More flexible schedule; leave early, leave late. Hotels optional. Or, mix it up. For safety or fun.
I can deal with the price, however, I wish they would make a slightly bigger refrigerator, and a built-in convection microwave is a must.

The size and amenities would be a REALLY nice option for a rental fleet if a company was to consider that. Promasters can be serviced in a TON of places across the country. Really cool.
Every rental RV company I’ve ever used uses cheap RV’s for rentals. This is super cool but expensive. People do not care about rental things.

@@EvilPOKES - I would too, but I’d hate to be a business owner and face the damages and maintenance nightmare, LOL! I’ve seen rental RV’s that we’re out of service, you wouldn’t believe what they do to them. One had windows ripped out of the rubber seals because they couldn’t figurine out how to open them. Of the several dozen they had for rent, 3 or 4 were just trashed.

Love the interior and efficient use of space. It almost makes me reconsider a van build. But the exterior looks like an RV so it can't be used for stelth camping. This would make an amazing weekend getaway and mobile office if it blended and allowed me to park it in the city.
You can park anywhere. It's a van. Plus it's so compact you would be surprised at how well and easy it parks in normal parking lots and spaces

Since they can customize a lot of it i think you can just have them placed as you want it. I would have them put in shelves kn the "shoe cabinet".
You can always use a tension rod!

No one talks about water because all the RVs suck when it comes to water. Water trucks carry 40,000 gallons across country. I’m pretty sure in some of these bigger ones they can get more water. Some of these trucks pull 25,000 pounds. 500 gallons of water is 4000 pounds. Some of the expedition can pull 50,000 pounds or more. Who needs 50 closets. You can put 600 gallons in the bigger ones EASILY

Wish Wingamm luck; the executives of Hymer destroyed that company in North America partly because they failed to bring in the innovative designs sold in Europe. Hopefully Wingamm does a better job with better people running the show in North America and continue to bring in good designs, not the tired old standards we're faced with here.
