I’m glad I ran across this video because I was wondering how to make a simple triangle basket with some kind of floral fabric as a bouquet.
Patty, I am glad the video was helpful. Thank you so much for watching!
I have some if those fabrics and had no idea what to make. Now I know! A new rag quilt is calling my name!
I just came across your tutorials and I'm excited about the string quilt and love the 9 patch idea.. I'm busy finishing up a tulip quilt and then I'll try the string quilt.. I really enjoy your video's..
Oh I am so glad. Please be sure to send pictures to either Crazy Dave's Crew or Sewing and Crocheting for Beginners on Facebook We'd love to see what you've made.
What a great idea! I have so many charm packs and fat quarters to play with, thanks.
so glad you have been inspired! be sure to send pictures to the facebook group (sewing and crocheting for beginners)
oh, my word!! sooo many pins!!!
Thanks for watching
I came across your channel and I subscribed. Love the 9 patch idea. I have to try it. Thanks for sharing.
I love it, I’m like you I would have to cut squares out like you did. I have so much scraps this would be a great idea!
Thank you for your videos I could watch and listen all day but then I wouldn’t sew😲 they are inspiring gotta go
Thank you so much for that encouragement! I am so pleased that you like them and find them a little useful.
Be sure to send pictures! Facebook page called Crazy Dave's Crew or Facebook group called Sewing and Crocheting for Beginners.
I like watching your videos, you do a good job.
Thank you so much for your encouragement. I really enjoy sewing and having a blast learning. I've learned sooooo much while making the videos. Can't wait to see what I learn in 2019
Im impressed with the pinning. Im going to try it.
I am definitely a "pinner" -- and I learned the hard way how important pinning is! Thanks so much for watching!
Seriously! That many pins?
Yep. With unsteady hands, sometimes the pins are required. LOL
I think you rustled in my fabric stash! Great idea & video!
You must have great taste! LOL
I love you and your projets
Thank you!
Thank-you for pointing out the pressing of the seams before you cut ... just to make sure it does not pucker. Little hints can help make a better 'finished' product. Hand made over the home made look.
You are very welcome. I love finding out new tricks and sharing them with you.

Welcome! Welcome!
Glad you are here
hi this is a great idea
Thank you. I like 9 patches so much but they get a little . . . boring. This at least makes it a little different! Plus it uses up scraps! So -- bonus!
Thanks
I love this. How big are you squares on this 9 patch?
started with 4.5" squares making the 9 patch 12.5"
Thank you!!!
Good Question
Ho my that is pretty
Thank you. I was having a LOT of fun making 9 patches (and I mean A LOT) and just wanted to try something a little different. Thank you so much for watching.
Thank you!
I wondered what would it look like if you now cut at an angle the other way...lol
Don't know. I may have to try that sometime.
Do you wash your fabric before you get started on your 9 patch?
I don't unless it's an older fabric that might not be pre-shrunk or if it's a fabric that I know will shrink . I went through a "phase" where I washed, starched and pressed everything for a while, but I didn't see a lot of difference in the final product. Now, if you use flannel -- definitely pre-wash! Thanks so much for washing! I mean - thanks for watching!
thank you so much, I watch a lot of videos and some say wash and others don't wash. I am glad that you said to definitely wash flannel as I am planning to make some rag quilts out of flannel.
Deanna Lindsey you wash rag quilts after you sew them into the quilt.
thanks
@@catherineeddy3805 good to know! Rag quilt is on my "to do" list for 2019.
I was disappointed because you didn't take it farther into a true basket. It is however a great idea.
I apologize for that. Perhaps another video.... Thanks for watching
Please whats the size of each square...???
Hello I was making a postage stamp didn’t really like it soma friend of mine said do a nine patch so out it comes so I do a nine patch with a white sashing and a corner stone my squares would be 6 1/4 inch square and 2 1/2 inch corner stone like to send you a picture some day
That sounds great, Beverly. You can post it on our Facebook Group.
What size are your squares
Can be whatever size you want. I started with 4.5" squares which made my 9 patch block 12.5".
Great Question
If you had spaced your pins further apart, you could have sewn that diagonal seam without taking out the pins until you were done sewing. Way too many pins to begin with.
May have to try that. I have had trouble with my fabric slipping if I don't pin, pin and pin. Always wanting to improve so I appreciate your suggestion.
Good idea
Traduza não entendemos nadaaaa
Terribly sorry about that. We will try to do closed captioning sometime in the future.
Too many pins! I nodded off.
Thanks for watching
Make your own video then without the "too many" pins. You need to rewatch Bambi and take Thumpers advice 👍
Way way too many pins !
Thanks for watching
