    It galls me that bands like Abba have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and this band has never even been nominated, not once! Where is the justice? Where is the love?

      @@bobriedel3277 Technically, this was 1970, but if you watch trends, they tend to bleed over from one decade into the first couple of years of the next. So a lot of stuff from 1973 and earlier have a heavy 60's vibe. The only exception I can think of to that is Disco. That shit died by 1980.

    I caught bits and pieces of this show but Vietnam was the really big news back in the day. It took me a few more years to finally decide to jump into the Marine Corps and help do the Marine Corps boogie and do the boogie woogie choo choo train on out of Vietnam. But it was difficult to leave some of those Vietnam honies behind. Still, you know, you got to do what you just got to do. Some people, you know.

    Indeed, a seminal recording. Rates up there with 'Sergeant Peppers'. Sadly, the keyboard player never was able to kick his meth habit. Even at this early stage you can see the teeth are going. He was one of the best.

    Ah, you just don't know real talent and gravitas when you see it. I met these guys in jail back in '75, They were protesting against 'ring around the collar' and 'static cling'. They're good, god-fearin', tax-payin' 'mericans. Oh yeah, have you had a problem with ring around the collar or static cling lately? I think not. We would still be ravaged by those horrid conditions had this band not put their tales on the line.

      Way better. At least the Evolution Revolution were competent on their instruments. I'll take them any day. The Dead were a bunch of stoned junkies who noodled on their instruments for hours on end, giving their audience lots of time to get all f_cked-up so they couldn't tell how bad they were.
