Gaz Coombes and *"SUPERGRASS"* 🇬🇧 must IMMEDIATELY due an updated version of this gem 💎 in 2024 !! 😃 🎤 😂 🎸
I see the Rolling Stones are touring again....Keith is looking and sounding better than ever !
It galls me that bands like Abba have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and this band has never even been nominated, not once! Where is the justice? Where is the love?
It's looks like new DVD releases review history books documentary about biography book club fun more than most more information interview review and DVD 📀 I just love it it's so much it's looks good 👍
Lance died way too young, heart issues from diet related potassium overload.....Revolution forever!
And the Rutles are not in but the Beatles who stole from the Rutles are. Go figure.
I would say the injustice is because of a Kangaroo court--but they are chimpanzees...🙈🙉🙊

THIS IS THE BEST BAND EVER, ONLY THE SHAGGS CAN GET CLOSE TO THIS KIND OF SERIOUS MUSIC.
Best ever
Now I'll never get this song outta my head!
I have had this song in my head since 3 grade 1969
See, this is when music was real. It was genuine. The bands today are so fake.
I think I was in a band once with this keyboard player. He was on the other side of the stage. Same hairstyle and technique at least.
Congratulations to the Creator of Lancelot Link. Fantastic entertainment. Creative and above all much much work went into this. Appreciate good fun loving talent.
incredibly, I got the vinyl... with a nice sleeve also
You Lucky person 👍Very Rare /collectable
The original Monkeez were VASTLY underrated...
This song has given me earworm on and off for the last 50 odd years.
I'm waiting for the farewell tour
Love the blonde weave.
Damn... I wish they woulda saved the actual audio from Lance's session ... what the chimps were actually banging out... Probably amazing! Way better than 99% of the crap on the radio today... lol
Really listen to the shit Cardi b and Meagen the Stallion sing or Rap or crap
These must have run in syndication in the mid-late 70s. I was born in '68 and remember this show and these songs.
1970-1971
@@Dakinechefdude808 Original airdates, yes. But it did make syndication through the mid 80s, if I remember correctly.
My two biggest musical inspirations are Lancelot Link and the Evolution Revolution and Captain Geech and the Shrimp Shack Shooters.
pure GOLD!
i'm too high for this...
Born in '70. How is it I'm just now seeing this? And is it too late to un-see it?
Much too late. But why would you WANT to unsee it?
I was obviously in a.mood when I wrote that. It's delightful. @@vsgfilmgroup
I wonder if Leon Russel was playing piano on this cut ?
oh man!!...this band really rips my face off!.
I love the drum 🥁 player he was soooo cool
Somehow, I remember Peter Tork, Mike Nesmith, and Davey Jones were more handsome, Mickey Dolenz looks just the same.
I think Dolenz could sit in on drums with Lancelot Link and his band and no one would know the difference.
🤣🤣🤣
🤣 Rock on🤘😆
@@bugbeemaine Yes! Dolenz is pretty simian-looking.
Chekhov on Star Trek was Roddenberry’s version of Davy Jones to help draw in the younger audience.
Their influence is still felt today.
super
Worthy of a college dorm party of the time. Amazing what they got away with in the Saturday morning kiddie abyss.
This is less contrived than today's commercial pop artists
Man, the drugs in the 70's must have been great.
The 60's !
@@bobriedel3277 Technically, this was 1970, but if you watch trends, they tend to bleed over from one decade into the first couple of years of the next. So a lot of stuff from 1973 and earlier have a heavy 60's vibe. The only exception I can think of to that is Disco. That shit died by 1980.
Yeah, it gave us writers who wrote for H.R.Pufnstuf and Lidsville among many other trippy Saturday morning shows of that era.
Lancelot link is a dead ringer for my boss! Wild dreams, jelly beans,- how can I sleep!
A friend of mine played bass and sang backing vocals for this band. He's human.
Cool, who is it?

me encanta esa serie era cuando yo era pequeña.
More talented than Kanye, Justin Beiber and Eminem
Talk about The Wrecking Crew !!
173449 views, 88 comments (plus replies) and 10 years since published, and nobody commented on the black keyboard keys! (1:21 onwards has a good view of them 😉)
Just imagine the horrible regime it took to get these primates to play those instruments. BUT GLORY DON'T COME CHEAP.
Great memories!!!!!!;p
* Steve Hoffman from the Mystic Astrologic Crystal Band were the real talent behind this faux-band! 😅
Still more believable than milli vanilli.
These are the real “Monkees”.
They are the EVOLUTION. Could it be related to the Planet of the Apes movie at the time?
@@peposo7 I know who they are. They’re the Evolution Revolution. They came on during the Banana Splits show. I doubt that they’re related to the Planet of the Apes movie, but; I can see how it’s possible.
I heard they were just released from a russian prison the other day...
Anyone can submit the lyrics here, plz? Thanks.
I know they are just chimps and all, but they're actually pretty good. Anyone know if they were self taught or classically trained?
No autotune, just pure talent.
I wonder if anybody noticed the black keys on the piano :D
I caught bits and pieces of this show but Vietnam was the really big news back in the day. It took me a few more years to finally decide to jump into the Marine Corps and help do the Marine Corps boogie and do the boogie woogie choo choo train on out of Vietnam. But it was difficult to leave some of those Vietnam honies behind. Still, you know, you got to do what you just got to do. Some people, you know.
WHEN MUSIC WAS DONE WITH REAL INSTRUMENTS....
Indeed, a seminal recording. Rates up there with 'Sergeant Peppers'. Sadly, the keyboard player never was able to kick his meth habit. Even at this early stage you can see the teeth are going. He was one of the best.
this is my favorite band. more bands need to be monkey
Easily 🤘🏼
Love this one... did it get any airplay I wonder? Better then some that did...
The Evolution Revolution consisted of several chimps dressed up in psychedelic threads situated around instruments with freaky outtasight camera angles perfected for the Saturday morning crowd. An album was released on the ABC label, but failed to make an impact on the charts. While the original album has become a prized collector’s item,
Way better than The Monkees imo.😂
Gutfeld brought me here 😂
According to their Gorilla security guard in a tell all book, the band smoked a bunch of banana peels before this gig!
I watched this as a kid growing up. (and I turned out alright)
I'd rather jam Lance Link than anything on Idol.
This Sounds Like The Music Of The 1910 Fruitgum Company
Actually, they used the same studio, musicians and song writers as The Grass Roots.
Documenty biography New Tcm t.v. shows 70s years past oascr awesome awards
Thanks! No Politics!
I'm thinking this was the litmus test for reality TV... if people were willing to watch this, then they were probably ready for Jersey Shore. Or piano kitty videos on youtube for that matter. Empty empty calories. :)
cual era el nombre del presentador....?????
Is that Mariah Carey?
Not fat enough and she knows the words.
Just let me know one thing yall love black music you can't do it like we do it you don't even have a king now go on do your thing i don't see y yall white people say anything about color when yall are 2 of them first you white then you turn red i know i got one of you red bitchs now doing her job right for daddy girl you better put all of it in your mouth
Lol
Ah, you just don't know real talent and gravitas when you see it. I met these guys in jail back in '75, They were protesting against 'ring around the collar' and 'static cling'. They're good, god-fearin', tax-payin' 'mericans. Oh yeah, have you had a problem with ring around the collar or static cling lately? I think not. We would still be ravaged by those horrid conditions had this band not put their tales on the line.
ANYONE KNOW WHO THE GROUP WAS THAT ACTUALLY DID THE MUSIC ?
The music was recorded in the same studio, using the same musicians and writers as The Grass Roots.
YES! THE MYSTIC ASTROLOGIC CRYSTAL BAND,WITH STEVE HOFFMAN AND RON ROMAN SINGING ALL THE VOCALS! I KNOW BECAUSE I WAS THERE! IM RON ROMAN!
Quem veio por causa do Igor do coisa nossa ? kkkk
To the moon apes.
i like watch this but music stooges loose listen instead
I'm just real glad I don't see their groupies!!
« Faire de l’homme l’enfant naturel de marsupiaux-lémuriens-anthropoïdes, une sorte de cousin du chimpanzé, du gibbon, du gorille et de l’orang-outang mélangés, c’est dégueulasse, pour les singes ! J’ai toujours eu trop de respect pour les singes pour les comparer à des hommes ! » (Nabe, Les Porcs)
🙉 Music!
Grateful Dead ?
Way better. At least the Evolution Revolution were competent on their instruments. I'll take them any day. The Dead were a bunch of stoned junkies who noodled on their instruments for hours on end, giving their audience lots of time to get all f_cked-up so they couldn't tell how bad they were.
@@321snoot I wouldn’t say Junkies. All phenomenal Musicians.
@@MsSmitty9 I'm being a tad harsh on the Dead, but "phenomenal" is a stretch in this musician's opinion. To each his/her own.
@@321snoot well , I I’m no musician but I did see my share of Dead Shows. A pure pleasure all around. To me they all were great. A Jam Band. They all had there own bands in One way shape or form. I’m just biased. It’s all good.
